Do you judge women based on how they're dressed?

I judge people based on what triggers for my anxiety are present. If there are any triggers present then I will have difficulty talking to them.

I judge based upon actions, behavior and how they treat others. Not because of their outfits.

I had a feeling I would see at least one picture of Muslim women. I just want to note that, whether the women want to cover themselves up or are forced to. The veil is actually a sort of taboo subject in the religion, as many of the branches believe in different things/thoughts about the veil and how women should be covered. It doesn't say in the holy book that all women must cover their fave or whatever, it's the way it has been translated.

Anyway, no matter what we say we all judge and even me. I guess we would get it wrong when we see someone and judge them, they could be the opposite.

The problem is

A lot of women to intend to communicate a message through their dress...but not the same messages.

Take a cheeky level skirt and several different women wearing it.

1) I feel powerful when I wear this short skirt
2) I want to seduce a colleague in this short skirt
3) I want to piss off my ex, he hates when I wear short skirts
4) Maybe the short skirt takes the attention from my fat face
5) This short skirt is the only thing I feel feminine in
6)I just like the colour of this skirt, is it short?
7) I feel so fat in trousers, this short skirt is all I'm comfortable in.
8) It's a very hot day, this short skirt is cool
9) I have a yeast infection, I'm only comfortable in a cool short skirt
10) This short skirt is the height of fashion, I'm am all about the fashion!

And the list goes on....

Now add to that, that clothes are not always made for all sizes, par example, I'm 5'10" a "cheeky" skirt in the shop would be a "whore" skirt on me. Stuff like that comes into play too. Y'know, unintentional shortness.

We all send messages by what we wear and how we behave. Unfortunately the message we send and the message that is received are often two different things.

I didn't even know that part. Thank you for posting! After looking at that picture I tried researching various articles on the subject, but of course there was a lot of contradiction and bias.

That didn't even occur to me. But it probably will now every time I see a girl in a short skirt.

As someone pointed out about there being a lot of threads being made about women, I think its time that there should be one about men.

Definitely.

Next time I see someone wearing a firemans uniform I will question their fashion sense - not the message they are trying to portray to others.

Could you give an example?

Yah, men are boring. Besides, what's there to ask? :idontknow:
