I was waiting in line to get a slushy earlier today. Someone pushed in. Do you know who it was...?

A MAN!

Bloody men - and their penises...

GRRRRRRR

I was at an athletic meet, and one of the elite athletes muttered indirectly at a female elite athlete "Do you want to see my pecker?"

I made me really uncomfortable, and the later my anxiety kicked in, maybe she thought I said it.

I like to play sports but I don't really like to watch. I don't mind it but I won't do it on my own. But I do feel like I'm in the minority. Every time I meet a guy, sports are always brought up. I never have anything to say.

My ex-boyfriend used to make me sit and watch while he played sports video games, watched sports on TV, and read sports blogs. It was mind-numbingly boring. I can sit through the odd game but that was hell.

well i do love my sport and beer, and have cheated death a few times...so i guess your post is valid:thumbup:

Surfing has contributed to me choosing to remain on this mortal coil. I really don't enjoy watching sport on television.

I heard a girl sobbing in the bushes near the KFC. She told me she had missed her train and that she had bipolar, and wondered if I could help her find somewhere to stay. So I bought my dinner in KFC and she asked for a Mountain Dew, which I bought her.

I decided to help her, because she said she a mental illness and appeared vulnerable and alone. Her story didn't quite add up, and she seemed to be a bit out of it.

So I drove the a backpackers hostel, and the YHA, but there they full up. It sounded as if she had no money. The bloke at the YHA said they see of lot of homelessness in Coffs, and the town has very little support for that issue.

She asked me to drive her to Casino, which about 180km away, I said no. She asked if she could stay in my place I said no to that as well.

In the end I took her to the Police station, and they were able to help her and organise for her to stay at a women' s refuge. I wished her good luck as I left her there.

Maybe I did the right thing, I tried to help someone in need, maybe I am an OK person, and I am a man.

Thanks so much Twiggle. Felt the need to share. Sometimes I want to scream at the 'sane' world, this is the real me, not my anxious behaviour.

That's awesome! You definitely did the right thing and it sounds like it took ages.

I can honestly say that as much as I'd like to think I'd do the same thing, I wouldn't. In an alternative reality where I'm as nice as you, I still wouldn't have thought to take her to the police station.

Well done.

Winja, my KFC dinner acutally went cold, that's how long it took!

That's fantastic; it's things like this that reignite my belief in humanity. You done good.

I could care less about sports, except hunting. Beer? I'll have a glass of Michelob while I'm browsing in my liquor cabinet. And hey, if it weren't for us men there'd be NO babies, and girls LOVE babies! It takes two to breed in most cases. SEE, MEN ARE USEFUL AFTER ALL.

How birds lost their penises

"Brennan's favorite explanation is that it has to do with female choice. Mating behavior in many birds is forced. But when birds such as chickens mate via what's described as a "cloacal kiss," sperm can't enter a female unless she cooperates and turns her cloaca inside out. If she doesn't budge, fertilization won't happen."

^Evolutionary response to bird-rape?
