Coffee, yay or nay?

^ My dad used to be like that too. He would drink 8+ cups a day and not have a problem taking a nap or sleeping at night. Crazy!

A year ago I was desperately trying to get done graduating in a week. That was a delusional nightmare of drinking like 8 cups of coffee with sugar in a night, staying up until 7 am, waking up at 12. I don't think my brain chemicals ever fully recovered, since I kept drinking it, lol. It was instant coffee too. I don't have a good coffee machine.

I think caffeine in general is very detrimental to me. It's just so damn addictive.

I am a coffee drinker. I have to drink 4-5 cups every morning. I can't function well in the mornings without it.

I love coffee, but have it only occasionally.

Used to be a 2-3 pot a day person. I feel much better since I switched to teas.

I weened myself off of coffee with green chai tea. Now, I drink a cup of regular chai every morning instead of making a pot of coffee.
I did have a low grade throbbing headache behind my eyes after quitting, for about four days.

It has helped lower my anxiety. Though I didn't realize it at the time, the amount of caffeine I was taking in was detrimental to me. It also made me sweat at work. (where my nerves are already amped) Not at home, just at work.

That was my final clue as to how it was affecting my day.

I still do enjoy an occasional iced coffee. Or, if I'm sleepy, after I've taken all my anti anxiety supplements I can have one hot cuppa joe. :)

I would like to try something like that but I get the feeling that it would be nasty to my sensitive taste buds. Anything you recommend?

It's diuretic

Beer and a lot of things are. Weeing ain't bad.

I've tried to find the strongest I can (level 5) - there is a 6 but it's not nice

Now I'm a bit bored - it's not as exciting as it used to be. Tried years of pure green tea, with ice, but it's not up to it. I did take the remains of my collection to a neighbour to share. Supposed to have 1 bag per drink. I did try 2 or three or more which might have given me more migraine. I made a cup each of the remaining 50 bags. She couldn't tell the dosage until later. We went nuts for a while. Like crack

Coffee makes the worst mess in the kitchen, when washing the black stuff from the filter into the draining surface. Some black mould / lifeform prospers until it's cleaned thoroughly

Usually it's just 1 cup per day, soon after arising (mid-afternoon usu). And I vary the dosage of coffee most days, depending on my levels of nerves & tiredness, etc. I try to have the minimum possible (maximum is 1 heaped teaspoon, which rarely have). I'm i'm just starting to consider minimizing the sugar i add as well, as i think that maybe causing some issues (slight blurred vision, mental dullness, ..)

I love super strong coffee with a lot of milk. I tend to have one cup a day, since it helps with my headaches. After a bad migraine I always grab a cup. Too much coffee has the opposite affect, and will give me a migraine. If I drink enough to the point I'm jittery, I become such an awkward mess as well. That's best avoided.

I tried coffee once out of a desperate need for caffeine at a conference--NEVER AGAIN!!
I'm sorry I just cant stand the taste of it.
I then tried tea and I love it!
