So I am quitting caffeine tomorrow, lately it's making me feel very nauseus/dizzy/angry/tired/anxious and also is increasing my appetite dramatically. I can't wait to see if it makes a difference on my anxiety and also my motivation to lose weight and not comfort eat, weeeee maybe i'll go back to being naturally energetic and motivated me

I love coffee but it definitely has a detrimental effect on my anxiety, i used to have 4 or 5 cups per day, now i only have one with my breakfast.

Good job. I have been caffeine free for a few days now, sadly had another night of insomnia this night, but I am getting there. I already feel like I can think more clearly and relaxed.

If there's one thing that's been bad for my depression it's my daily intake of coffee. It keeps me running in circles.

Surprised at all the aversion to coffee. I drink about 2-4 cups a day and it doesn't have any effect on me, and I actually am quite sensitive to food products. I can even have it at night and won't have any trouble sleeping. One thing I do hate about coffee is the bad breath and brown teeth.

How_Slow_The_Wind, it's different for everyone I guess.

I have an addictive personality, and sometimes drank to about 5/6 cups with sugar a day. Obviously not very healthy. Also, coffee gives me heart-burn like sensations. Feelings of tension in my stomach.

I think caffeine should not be underestimated when it comes to anxiety, and worth it to be looked at critically if you're interested in getting over anxiety.

Coffee's not for me, I prefer tea. In fact I think coffee might give me headaches but I am not sure since I rarely have it.
