^ No, I know I'm not mean. It really hits you though when someone says that. Like a stab through the heart.

My family doesn't insult me like that no where near as much as they used to. Still hurts all the same though. I guess I can't ask them to give me a compliment once in a while, it might kill them.
Not that they've never given me one, but it's rare.

I already know you look better than them. Hurting peoples self esteem like that is ugly. I bet she's beautiful too.

Lately, there has been too much social interaction in my life. I feel so drained. I wish I would not have to talk to anyone for the next 24 hours. *sigh* But I have to work tomorrow. Oh well, just gotta bite the bullet as they say.

Unfortunately in our lives it's usually to little or to much, the happy medium is all to elusive.

I totally agree.
My stomach entered a contortion contest, my paranoia is encroaching on me, and my apathy and anger are starting to rustle. Now, I just want an end to this life so I can move on and at least be free of this.
I know this feeling very well. Hang in there Deadman, don't let them get to you too much. There're more in life than these, I guess distraction is the best way right now? Or maybe writing down your thoughts and whatever is on your mind.

I'm sorry Phoenixx, reminds me of my family.

Random feeling: my neighbour has left his cat in my house and watching him sleeping on my couch is making me really sleepy as well.

No matter how good a worker you are, or how good your reasons are, if you make a habit of not coming to work on Mondays the boss isn't going to like you.

^ :(
That reminds me of a short conversation I had on the way home yesterday with my brother and mom.
*I don't remember exactly what we were talking about*
Mom: "Yeah, no one will talk to you in a crowd anyway, you always look so ugly and mean."
Me: "What?"
Brother: "You always have this look on your face *makes some weird gesture I didn't see since he was driving*. You're so ugly."
His gf/my friend: "Awwww" ::(:
Me: "God you're an a******." ::(:

Thank you. Really. And we all wonder why I hate my face so much and have so many self-esteem issues. -.-
Wow, I'm really sorry, Phoenixx. That's very awful and unnecessary.

Do you ever get the feeling some users just go out of their way to ignore you... or is that me just being paranoid...
I'm sure there are users here that go out of their way to ignore me, too. Unfortunately everyone is not going to like everyone. All you can do is be happy for the ones that don't ignore you - like me, for example!

Dear Powers That Be,

Please kill me. If not, I'll do it for you. You seem to hate me enough that you like to give me one good moment with three bad moments. Why not just finish the job? Or do you like to see me suffer? What have I ever done to you to deserve this treatment? Answer me that.

Signed,
Deadman
Dear Deadman,

I want you alive. I'm sorry you're going through pain.

Yours sincerely,
Mikey

Too much social interaction is very draining and I know I like to recharge/regroup after spending a good chunk of time with anyone. People are all different and there are those that can be powered by constant socialising. It's all dependent on the person.

my random thought is the fact that i've been noticing a lot more snarky, sarcastic members here lately who have nothing more to offer than driveby quips.

there is an ignore function in the user settings that allow you to not see posts by particular users - i'm not sure how it works, because i've never used it

also, it's hard to remember sometimes that we're all on different schedules with work or school or whatever, and in different time zones all over the world, and with certain types of internet connections and browsers, it may look like a user is signed in and active when they're actually fast asleep

often i'll read a post and see that several other people responded with the same sentiments that i would have expressed, so i don't respond simply to repeat the same thing everyone else said

if you really want to hear what someone in particular thinks about a topic or looking for advice from a particular person, i see nothing wrong with sending that user a private message (PM) and asking them directly - we're all friends here, right?

^ Aww, does your neighbor do this often?
I remember when I was little and we lived in the city, our neighbor's (who was also my mom's boss) wife owned about a dozen cats, give or a take a few. No I'm not kidding. She was a very young cat lady, but she loved every single one of them and she kept them, and her house, VERY clean. Anyway there were these two cats, an all black male and a gray tiger male, that always climbed over the fence and roamed to our house, and we actually would let them in and also feed them. I remember when I would get up for school and there would be one of those cats sleeping at the end of my bed, hehe. So yeah, they were kinda like our pets too. My neighbor didn't mind at all, she liked sharing her cats with us. She was a nice lady. :)

And all of a sudden I feel extremely guilty.

And my mind goes: Is it me? What did I wrote last? Did I come over badly? Maybe I should stop posting?

I dislike the way my mind works.

No, just this time. My neighbour had to leave for three days and since there was no one to take care of his cat I said I would.
I'm having a great time though, he's too adorable. :D
Aw that's awesome, she does seem very nice. :)

The first rule of SA club is:

1.Respect No member shall show disrespect to others - no harassment, bullying, attacking, threatening or sniping of any members.

If you feel this is the case, click the little report post triangle.

Most of the time though, comments can be misconstrued as typing what you mean to say in a peaceful way can sometimes sound hostile. I'm guilty of that myself. ;)
