I think for a lot of people with SA, their looks aren't the problem, or are only one of many problems. I have days when I want to put a bag over my head and feel just yucky, but I've known really confident, outgoing people who've had major hangups about their appearances too. It's not my outside but my inside that I suffer the most lack of confidence over, always feeling like I'm not sociable, interesting or lively enough for people to want me around.

I don't think people's looks are related to their social phobia, really. Some people with SA also have body dysmorphia and think that they're unattractive when they're not, but many people without SA have that too. I know you said it as a nice thing and I'm sure you didn't mean any harm, but I think it's unfair to assume that people with social anxiety must have three heads or warty, green skin or somethingi am surprised that most of the people with social phobia are very nice, handsome, girls are beautiful and handsome, very interesting..
