What is your dream job?

Probably something in a professional capacity if I didn't have SA. But in my current state, I would safely say a secretary.

I would like to be a freelance artist doing mostly paintings but also things like kinetic wind sculptures, electronics, and maybe also arborsculptures. I also want to be a rhythm guitarist in an underground metal / industrial band. Some kind of band that focuses on atmosphere rather than lyrics.

I used to want to be a video game designer but I no longer play games and now I realize I´de be in some cubicle all day and routines tend to bore the hell out of me. I´m stuck at my current job as a technician and even that is way too dull for me. I feel torn between my fear and desire of the unknown, to experience new things.

Hmm... isn't that like one of the most dangerous jobs in the world? Lots of poaching in Africa and the poachers aren't in the least bit afraid to use their guns on the rangers...

Yeah and is why there work is that much more important and under appreciated imho.

Also, the rangers sometimes turn the tables on the poachers. While I'm sure some deserve it,I also wonder how many people are poaching to just survive or to try and feed their loved ones.Complicated situation.

I'd like to be a counselor or life coach specialising in teenage issues.

I'd absolutely LOVE to be a travel journalist. I'd get to write and travel (two of my favourite hobbies). To think you'd get paid to do all that. Unfortunately I don't have enough confidence in myself to chase this dream. Oh, if only...
You could write travel novels or similar. Lots of people love books which involve overseas or non-local locations.

Hmm... seeing some of the responses here make me think that quite a number of SPW members actually have the heart to be animal rights activists :) ... If I weren't such a major flop, I'd love to raise public awareness about the plight of chickens and other farm animals around the world. For example, many or perhaps most battery hens lives in cages where there is absolutely no room to even stretch the wings a little and live in literally filthy environments where they are sick and weak.

Most of the forums I've visited.. the members there often express complete indifference and some even relish and applaud at the suffering and hope that these animals suffer more and insult those that express some sympathy. So yeah... if I were actually talented, I'd make a movie showing some of these issues. That wouldn't be such a bad job I think.

I would love to be a book publisher or own a small bakery where I would sell muffins, brownies and other pastries. In this bakery, there would be a wall bookcase so the people who would come could sit down and read while enjoying my delicious food (although I don't really know how to bake, but I would learn).

I would choose one of these 3. Either a web/graphic designer, psychotherapist, or music producer. I've always had an appreciation for art, music, and people... Lol, ironically.

Game testing is known to be mind numbingly boring. It may sound fun to test new games, but you have to repeat the same tiny bits over and over and over again, in as many different ways as possible, looking for bugs and problems.

I imagine it would get dull fast.

Anywho, I usually answer "Writer" to this, but the lack of actual writing I do makes me question whether I genuinely want it or not.

That sounds lovely. I was gonna say I wanna own a bakery too. I would sell cupcakes and tarts because they are my favorite (I also don't really know how to bake...haha...we should learn though. If anything it could be a wonderful hobby.)

Same here. I don't say I wanna write anymore 'cause I never do write. If it was something I was really interested in I would do it just for fun. But as far as dream jobs go, being a bestselling author sounds about right.

Getting paid to do nothing?

haha~ I still haven't figured out if I have a dream anymore, so I can't rightly say what my 'dream job' would be.
