Hmm... isn't that like one of the most dangerous jobs in the world? Lots of poaching in Africa and the poachers aren't in the least bit afraid to use their guns on the rangers...
You could write travel novels or similar. Lots of people love books which involve overseas or non-local locations.I'd absolutely LOVE to be a travel journalist. I'd get to write and travel (two of my favourite hobbies). To think you'd get paid to do all that. Unfortunately I don't have enough confidence in myself to chase this dream. Oh, if only...
Hmm... seeing some of the responses here make me think that quite a number of SPW members actually have the heart to be animal rights activists... If I weren't such a major flop, I'd love to raise public awareness about the plight of chickens and other farm animals around the world. For example, many or perhaps most battery hens lives in cages where there is absolutely no room to even stretch the wings a little and live in literally filthy environments where they are sick and weak.
Most of the forums I've visited.. the members there often express complete indifference and some even relish and applaud at the suffering and hope that these animals suffer more and insult those that express some sympathy. So yeah... if I were actually talented, I'd make a movie showing some of these issues. That wouldn't be such a bad job I think.
I would love to be a book publisher or own a small bakery where I would sell muffins, brownies and other pastries. In this bakery, there would be a wall bookcase so the people who would come could sit down and read while enjoying my delicious food (although I don't really know how to bake, but I would learn).
Anywho, I usually answer "Writer" to this, but the lack of actual writing I do makes me question whether I genuinely want it or not.
Getting paid to do nothing?
haha~ I still haven't figured out if I have a dream anymore, so I can't rightly say what my 'dream job' would be.
