I REALLY want to learn to be an artist... (the visual arts kind). But getting frustrated. I just can't seem to visualize things. And I can't seem for the life of me to understand seeing 'values' and shading accordingly...

Been a couple of years now... And I still draw like a little kid... Well... maybe not that bad if I concentrate, but still...

Forgive me for being blunt, but precisely what is it you need to speak about? Would it be simpler to use the forum to speak of it? You can make friends here on the forum without using YIM can you not? Or is it something more reserved for close friends?
