I have a question for anyone who has recorded their voice before, do you notice a huge difference between what you hear when you speak(like your mouth to your ear directly) and what the recording sounds like? And if you do, do you know which voice other people typically hear of the two?

Would you mind enlightening us about which voice of the two people hear? Is it the recorded voice? I'm just curious because I was playing around with a microphone and heard a voice I didn't recognize or expect at all, and am wondering if that's what people hear when I speak.

Please forgive my literal tendencies.

I'd estimate it's about 80% bone conduction and 20% psychology, on average.

2nd: Yes, the recorded voice would be closer than the one I hear in my head.

It's just the 10-day trial. I'm not going to buy the game unless it really appeals to me. Doubtful though.

Why do people like it?

The reason why WoW appeals to a lot of people is mostly because of the social aspects of the game and it's very easy to learn how to play. All video games are addictive as far as I'm concerned but MMOs tend to be a little worse since the game never really comes to an end while most normal games can be completed in like 10 hours.
