I used to live in the land of trucks. Now it's all Prius and electric cars.
Secondly, I can very much related, having been born with a physical and learning disability. Growing in a dysfunctional family, and raised by my mum who was, and still is, deeply religious. And a militant feminists who hates all men, except me her only son. Yeah, trying and make sense of that one.😕
So, I also feel stuck, since my family are constantly fighting amongst themselves. But, too them, there's no link between that and me feeling depressed and anxious. :kickingmyself: And when I try to calm things, that just make everything worse. :sad: Similarly I wish I had someone to comfort me as well.

It's exactly the same for me, except I've got 3 women to deal with. And feminist women at that, who resort to childish, teenage pettyness when they start arguing. And don't take to well to someone actually pointing out that shouting won't resolve anything, but my insights always fall on deaf ears. Then they have the nerve to come to you, about a day later, and go: "Sorry..." :kickingmyself:
So, just be thankful you've only got parents to dealing with. Because trying to fix and keep the peace amoungst 3 women who all insist they're right, and if ya don't agree... Brace yersel' for a tsunami wave of verbal abuse. 😮
Cuz I've gotta got dual role of being a brother, son and a man of the house. In other words, I'm a surrogate father and husband to them. Yet - beside the man-hating tangents - there's further irony, in that, my mum and older sisters constantly state how highly they think of, and how much they admire me. But, sadly, they have little to no respect for me. :idontknow:

Don't feel too sorry for me, huh? Things are changing for me, slowly but surely. 😀 I've learn within the past year how driven and persistent I actually am. Still struggling with the whole self-confidence and believing in myself, though. As I'm always doubting and second-guessing myself: :sad:

I know 2-3 people who do that like it's the most natural thing in the world, trying to befriend specific people for what they can be used for, I can't do that, it just feels wrong

Can the people you surround yourself with affect yer mental and physical health. Like if yer always around folk who are confrontational n' angry, or folk who constantly complain and are generally negative? Or is that just a lotta nonsense? :question:

something I just thought of though: I think sometimes statistics show you the way things ARE in the world...like "according to the stats, this sh*t sucks"..lol..
.....but then its up to YOU to try and change that statistic for the better...
