I watched Ex Machina last night before bed. Then I had a dream I was working on a house with the main programmer dude, cleaning it or something like his maid but I wasn't his employee or anything...I over hear him with his main android...she is telling him to shut up or something of that nature...he gets very angry at her after telling her to stop she won't. She then walks away, down a flight of stairs. He follows her and I see from the floor above her is hitting her and dragging her off. I get very angry and when he comes back I tell him he is the worst human and want to kill him personally, making sure his death is slow and very painful. Then all I remember is trying to get away from him without him knowing I left. It was like I was a character in the movie. Weird dream.

People teasing and displaying gratuitous anger towards others.
Just pray for them. They really need help. And twice the prayer for internet trolls. God knows what kind of issues they have.

Re: ...yep

Amazing invention! Better practice with robots! Robotic *ss empathy. Maybe they could make another one for the kind of people I just mentioned. When someone can't get any love or learn how to talk to others, maybe through a robots back end they can become more human and control their anger.

You know, when you put it that way, perhaps we could all use a robotic butt now and then.

I wouldn't. Imho, I guess we are still far from needing a robot for that. Talking to people is still better. Even if they sometimes show up as letters on a screen and far away from us.

I was thinking about working on a project a few hours per day, but running a single line of code takes one hour to process. Can't do much else in the meantime. If the results are not to my liking, I have to run a different line of code and hope that I get the results I want.

In this project we have to create a model to predict the values of 20 observations. Luckily for me I got 99.2% accuracy on my first try. That should be more than enough to get the correct predictions. According to other people that already did the project, having at least 95% accuracy would be enough to get them all right.

But how can you get 99.2% accuracy with only 20 observations? If you get them all right, that is 100%, if you get one wrong that is 95%?

The original data set had 20k observations. I trained a model on 11k observations and then checked the accuracy on the other 9k observations. I got the 99.2% on those 9k observations. I submitted my predictions on the 20 observations we had to predict and got them all right.

I hate when people can't answer the question you ask (and I'm not talking about those who don't know the answer). I explain what I know and then say what is confusing me. And instead of clearing out my confusion, they simply reiterate what I already knew.

I LOVE THAT MAN sorry all caps oh well. ^

I just listened to his brother doing an interview for the Free Your Mind Conference. He is continuing with Terrance's work and legacy. He sounds just like him, too!

I just wish he would've used layman's terms more often in his lectures. I find it a bit easier to listen to Alan Watts because he doesn't use words like "mercurial" every other sentence....sometimes listening to terrence McKenna I have to stop and try and mentally digest wtf he just said..lol
