Today, my mom has invited 25 people to our house for a Christmas party, which is something she does every year. I usually don't mind this and actually think it's quite fun, but today I have a headache and I'm tired, so now I'm sitting in my room behind a closed door while all the noisy extroverted people have fun. Seriously, they sound like wild monkeys... Oh, and I also have a constipation. Isn't that just great?

I can imagine the scene. If it's difficult to integrate into the lively conversation, it's not good.

There's laxatives you can take for that. Do you have some at home? If not, perhaps that's a good excuse to go out, even if the item you have to buy isn't awesome.

I just signed myself out of Plenty of Fish, didn't really meet anyone from that site in the end but spoke to a few girls and is a good place to talk.

Sorry to hear you didn't have too much luck. I hope I get to talk to at least a couple of girls, but time will tell. 🙂

Them mood swings. Yesterday I was angry at the whole world, but now my mood is rather normal. I don't understand myself sometimes.

Went out to a local national park for some bushwalking. Took a couple of shots.





It was nice to be out in nature for a couple of hours. 🙂

They're Livistona australis Cabbage Tree Palms and yes they are native. The lowland rainforests of the Illawarra region had some incredibly big trees including palms. Most of it has been cleared, but subtropical rainforest can be found on the escarpment in places like Macquarie Pass.

I forgot that we had a botanist in our midst! Yes, it was Macquarie Pass National Park. I think it's one of the few places here with subtropical rainforest. I'm not well known with my flora and fauna like you are but they're still great to see.

Totally. 🙂 I went for a walk along the path, but eventually the path just...ended, and I couldn't go any further. The forest was abuzz with noise (sounded like a thousand cicadas at once) but it was a lovely, serene walk.

They may need to oil the garbage truck outside. The back of it was moaning under the strain.

Either that or they're keeping a velociraptor in the back that's calling for reinforcement. Either way, it's something that'll need some attention.

I think I've gone out more over the last couple months than I have all year. Strange, but it feels pretty good to be drawn out of my shell and taken out of my comfort zone.
