not actually Fiona Apple
Without giving away too much spoilers, I like the ones with Bender in it. Or have I said too much? ::p:

Oh, WAY too much. And you know with these cartoon sitcoms, the plot is incredibly important. Incredibly important! The whole series is ruined :crying:

I think tomorrow I will go buy some drawing supplies. It's time to get serious and start putting in a lot of practice.

I really, REALLY hate it when people use the ''Well, my x is a y by profession, so I know better on that subject.''

It's usually some half baked interpretation of knowledge that is ridden with inaccuracies, that serves no other purpose than to win an argument.

I just had a spat with someone who had the nerv pulling that crap on me, and I frankly don't care that he got mad at me. I don't stand for disrespect. Not from anyone.

What do you mean?

I've basically decided to sacrifice a lot of sleep tonight and go to a popular club in Sydney. Not being around people is kind of doing my head in. I asked a friend to go and he said he had a "thing." His words. Sounds like bogus to me but I'm not really surprised. Hopefully a beer or two and watching a live band will mask that disappointment!

Oh, it's nothing. Just an argument that went a little out of hand. A conversation swayed onto the subject of people leaving their computers running all day (even when they leave the home) and I told him that he aught not do that because it was more expensive energy wise. He in turn intended to shut me up by telling me his dad used to be an electrician.

While his dad may have been wise on the subject, he himself wasn't. I can't stand that half assed piggy-back wisdom. In the process insinuating that I'm dumb on the subject.

I wouldn't take it too personal. Maybe he was just recovering from the after-Christmas jitters? If it helps, you can imagine that that 'thing' is in fact a colonoscopy or something. ;)

Oh, I see what you're saying. He has no knowledge but someone he knows does. Yeah, that is kind of a stupid card to play, but you should have the last laugh knowing that that's all he had.

Ha, that would be great! He's usually a decent guy so maybe he's telling the truth and I'm a selfish b.astard. :eek:mg:

I've asked myself that same question many times. Should I start my own journal/diary thread? Have I anything really interesting to say, and would anyone want to read it?

Probably not.

You, however, have a lot to say, and you say it in a very interesting and entertaining style. You're just as important as anyone else here, and I'm sure a lot of people would enjoy reading your thread. I say go for it!

I'm signing up for Plenty of Fish right now. I'm getting no luck out of eHarmony, so might as well try another one.

I just signed myself out of Plenty of Fish, didn't really meet anyone from that site in the end but spoke to a few girls and is a good place to talk.

Entertainin', aye. But lot tae say... Really? Yer tell yer jokin' - takin' the pure piss, no?

Any ideas for a thread title because am crap with titles. Or what ah should talk aboot?

Because, havin' been born with a physical disabilty, ma life story's no' aw happy n' upbeat. Naebody's interested in hearin' ma struggles, surely? From nearly dyin' at birth. Being the youngest & growin' up wi' 2 older sisters. The countless vomit inducin' car journeys back and forth to Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh. The physical, verbal & racially bullying ah endured from primary through to high school.

A strict, sheltered, single parent upbringing. The first time ah got drunk. First music concert I went to. Ma dad finally want to be part of life in ma mid-teens. That slightly awkward, embarrassing interaction between me and a famous, well-known American stand-up comedienne during her debut stand-up comedy show at Edinburgh Fringe Festival back in 2009. The hilarity is few and far between all that ah just mentioned.

Plus ah've hardly got anythin' insighful or wise tae say... Half the time am just talkin' pure shite just fur ma amusement. Unintentionally laugh-oot-loud funny & honest. But am hardly the f**kin' Dalai Lama when it comes sayin' summit inspirin'.
