^ I never liked being called "hun" or "sweetie" by strangers either, but I don't consider it stating what you described. I just don't feel it's right, for some reason. I guess I feel like it's a term that families should use, people that really know you. I should have a much better reason, but I can't really describe it. All I know is that I only like that term said to me if it's by my father or my other relatives. Don't mean to sound rude, but that's just how I think of it.
But, like pebbles said, you do have to deal with those types of things in that sort of environment/workplace. I used to get called "hun" and such even when I worked concessions at the theatre.![]()
