Generical, I'm seeing your pic now but I didn't when you first posted. I was wondering why you were talking about a branch. It's a good shot though. Some critters are just too skittish to get a clear line to. This is my attempt to get a jackrabbit a few days ago:

those eyes.
Because he's terrified. I was on the tractor, and the noise froze him in place. Even then I had to use heavy zoom. Very elusive creatures.

Thanks! Yeh am maaaassively happy to see it, just need to get closer/more time. The far side of the wood has loads of burrows so i'm hoping it lives in one of them....and has young ...that would be amazing. But i think it was sunbathing rather than feeding its fam, plus i might be a bit late.
Also am pretty surprised at how usable that shot is in the first place check how much it's cropped lol croppity crop pretty much at 1:1 so props to my new lens.
Nice jackrabbit, have seen a few hares but only when walking the dogs...which they obviously then chase and exhaust themselves...then the hare starts taunting them, cheeky devils.

Here are a few that I took! I just love photography. I only have a really crappy camera though so I wish I had enough to buy a nice camera. What would you guys recommend for me to get? any help would totally be appreciated! You all seem to know what you are doing
