I also feel in love with grip exercises,I do a bunch of them after my full body lifting days, which is good because grip/ forearm strenght is my weakest link,I bought some captains of crush grippers,I hope to one day close at least the number two.

Thank you, Kia. :) I'm not going to lie: there have been a few times where I have questioned what I'm doing, and I've wanted to binge on chocolate, but weighing myself on a weekly basis is actually doing me some good. Seeing the decreasing numbers is helping, because my stomach looks exactly the same. If I was going by that alone, I would've probably given up.

Not seeing results is most discouraging - it is a good thing you are keeping track. You should feel very proud of yourself, not just for your effort but for your persistence.

Yeah, exactly. I'm not noticing any reduction in belly circumference, but the scales are showing a loss, so that's good. It's been hard to persist at times, but I'm still going, so that's good. You are persisting, too, so you should be congratulating yourself, as well. :)

I ate my "cheat" meal today: pizza, garlic bread, and chocolate mousse from a gourmet pizza place. It's a little more expensive but I think it tastes really nice.

Now the test is to not fall back into that habit of eating badly all the time. I feel like I'm going to be okay but tomorrow I'll try to work off tonight's meal.

Losing weight

That's exactly what I'm about to do, after I post this.

Shed the kg, and pile on the muscles. Oh yeah! It hurts when you push and pull so haarrd!!

Never tried a lot of sauna yet.

With a flat tyre, I can't do the hardcore ride up the hill to the gym.

175cm. Worst ever was 85kg at skool. Now 69kg. Good bmi. Still no punchbag, or squash

15km run and 10km row

On a seriously frugal budget, I love the feeling of getting really hungry after a session, when the fridge gets empty.

Best way to lose weight is to be in hospital for 6 months

Down to 86.2kg (190lb).

That's a loss of 6.5kg (14.3lb) in 5 weeks.

One of my only recent accomplishments, I must say.

Excellent results. Mikey, whatever excercise regimen you're doing really is working. You should sell it.

My current problem is that I'm skinny-fat. Ever since I hit my 30s my body hasn't been treating me fair.

I lost 10-12 lbs this year and I'm trying to lose those last 5 lbs, but it seems like I'm stuck at my current weight.

Yeaaaaaah. Gained 30 pounds in 4 months while on zoloft. I was down to 120 while I was in the hospital for my anxiety. My regular weight forever had been 130 though. Now I'm 159.something. Ughhhhh. My appetite is out of control and my metabolism is shot. It's so discouraging. I need a lot of discipline which I don't really have. having 30 pounds to lose seems so daunting. I have two jobs so when I'm not working I don't really have a tonne of energy to go hard with exercising. I absolutely refuse to let myself gain anymore weight though.

Great job MikeyC! keep it up!

I finally said it goodby to 8x kg and hello to 7x kg (79.7) :D
Posting it in lbs makes me feel like an elephant, but that's 175.7 lbs

I gained quite some weight during the last few years, and blamed it on my office job and my broken thyroid gland. Then I decided to change something. About a year ago I quit my public transportation thingy, and since then use only the bike, which means biking for about 15 miles a day. I started heaving a regular breakfast, and either have hearty lunch and skip dinner, or having a salad for lunch plus a dinner.

I still eat pizza on our weekly film evening, and sometimes some chocolate or whatnot. But I slowly lose weight. Despite office job and thyroid gland. I now have a bmi of about 27, down from 28, without being hungry or skipping on sweet stuff entirely. That works for me. I lose weight only slowly, but still, things improve.

you guys are doing all so well. I REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY want to lose 30 pounds. I have started going to the gym. The problem is comfort eating. I don't know what else to do when I'm scared other than stuff my face with 2000 extra calories. :/ Lately every second day feels crisis enough for the excuse to do that. It's the only thing that makes me feel safe. Trying to figure this out....

I switched to very dark chocolate. The light milk chocolate I could just gobble down all at once. But with very dark chocolate... I still like the taste. Not as much as the other one, but it's still nice with tea. And I can't eat it that quickly. So I just nibble on it in the evening. :p So where a milk chocolate bar lasts a day, a dark chocolate one lasts a week. It's also supposed to be healthier.

When I am in a supermarket then, and I think "some chocolate would be nice", I tell myself "I still have chocolate! I got to eat up that first". :)

Well I want to,so I am starting this thread to keep progress,if anyone wants to lose or post something related feel free to,here is my story:

Until around 2009 I didnt care or know what my weight was,but I got fired and was around 10 months at home, in this time I got up to 93 kg(205 lb) I am 1m and 69 cm,(5'6),in 2010 I managed to lose weight and was 69kg (around 155lb),but in 2011 I ganeid weight again,I was up to 90kg(200lb),now I am 84.5kg(185 lb).

I eat well, but also eat junk food,on the weekends I cant resist and I have to buy junk food, well from now on I will try not to or do it in a controled way.:)

Losing weight was one of the best things I did and going from 206 pounds down to about 172 did me some good. I was about 5 7 then. blood pressure is lower now. and still 172 and 5'8.5. Yeah I gained a inch and a half

Great job MikeyC! keep it up!
Thank you both very much. :) My secret is keeping a food diary and having my therapist critique it. That's all it is. So far so good but I've been close to failing a couple of times.

Excuses. Yes, that's a hard thing to make disappear.
