I'm sorry about your loss. Try to remember her for the days she was here rather than the day she left. I hope you feel better.

<3 Thank you. I know she never really left me, she's always in my heart. I'm trying too, June 4th marked 5 yrs. so June is always a ****ty month.

That I have an excuse to buy a new dress, some wine and some chocolates. I don't really think it's great because I am advancing towards death, oh is THAT the reason why we celebrate it? To thwart any reminder that we are going to die? By getting utterly drunk so that we don't remember the day that signaled another year closer to death? I'm sorry I think this should've gone to that negative thread.

-all my friends were too busy to come to my party
This is perhaps my biggest fear and one of the main reasons why I have never and will never host a party. I'm sorry this happened. ::(:

Yes, I'm running my first marathon three days later!
That doesn't sound like a great way to celebrate (maybe because I'm a tub of lard!), but good for you! Where to? How long is it?

Thanks Mikey and Srijita. It's 42.195 kilometres. Runs over Sydney Harbour Bridge and finishes at the Opera House.

My birthday this year was one I'll try to forget. 3 days before my brother and I get into a heated argument and he decides to end things by calling me a loser. This is in front of a gathering of about 10 family members, so that made me feel reel good. The next day me Grandfather died so I spent my birthday driving 14 hours across Canada with my aunt and cousins to go say goodbye to him for the last time. Definitely the worst birthday of my life.

I hate, hate my birthdays. I have nothing special to do (basically no one to celebrate with) and hate it when people ask me exactly how I intend to celebrate it. Doing nothing except dinner with family.

The last few birthdays have been A reminder that another year of my life has passed that I've wasted. Also, a good excuse to get drunk. So it isn't a totally joyless day.

20 minutes earlier was my 25th birthday. i opened up facebook and i received like 14 greetings - all of them are the people i never see anymore and only wishing me because they pitying me. I have no friend where i always lived. my parents celebrated my birthday by force. I felt desperate and lonely this birthday. I just wanted to done with this birthday!! I may sound so pesimist but i dont seem to way out of this life anymore!!

Ah hate.... Naw! Ah f**kin' loathe ma birthday! Mainly because ah get clichéd "Another older; another year wiser!" bollocks. :kickingmyself:
Ah, personally, think am gettin' more stupid with each passing year. :eek:h: Oh! And ah don't like the idea that am another year closer tae death.

It comes tae us all, anyway. Preferably, I'd rather just treat ma birthday like it's just another day - which it is! Nae big deal tae me, personally! :idontknow:

I don't like it. It makes me feel closer to death, and it's like a reminder of how long I've been stuck in the same situation. There's nothing enjoyable about it.

At least others say I don't look my age. That pleases me.
