Thanks, I guess... sorry things haven't been great lately. :sad: I wish my life hadn't turn oot like it has.
It's hard to trust folk when they constantly and repeatedly let ye down n' think nothing of how it makes you feel.
At least, that seems to be the way it is with my family. :thumbdown:

Yeah, I assumed the two might be linked. My face, arms and the back of my legs have been particular itchy recently.
And I've been putting fair bit of eczema cream on, but it seems to be having little affect. :idontknow:

Was invited around for dinner at a lady's place. She has a partner. People have been very kind since my stroke.

Had a lot of visitors, which has been good. and my anxiety hasn't been as bad so the interaction is easier.

Last week I had to go to a 21st birthday party, I just 'made an appearance' but damn I hated it. Yes, it was very stressful.
Tomorrow night I have to go to a relatives 50th birthday dinner. At least it's just a dinner and not a party. But still.. gah..

I still remember having a little conversation with you in the Chatbox - in the first year I joined this site - where you described how horrible your home life was when you were growing up.

It is shockingly rare to come across people who have had a childhood with 2 parents who were good and competent.

Many people have had 2 nasty and incompetent parents - in various ways.

Some people have had at least one good and competent parent.

Rarely you come across a person who genuinely (not just those who live in denial and in reality their "good" parents were all just smoke and mirrors) experienced 2 decent and competent parents present during their childhood.

Thanks, Blue. My mom doesn't have a malicious bone in her body, she's just oblivious to the way her moods and words effect me.

I wish things were different. Ah wish my home life felt more... peaceful.

I'd say happy, but that's not quite possible when you have to put up with family arguments on a near daily basis. And have done for years.
Arguments that, if ye so much as try and stop, then you're the bad guy. :eek:mg: :kickingmyself: :crying:

Yet, my family still constantly wonder why I'm the way I am. Which, in itself, tells you a lot about how they see themselves; as well as showing a complete lack of self-aware. But that trait seems quite common among feminists. Particularly the overly aggressive, man-hating lesbian variety...

Ah mean, would be friends with someone who's mood suddenly flips outta nowhere all because you've asked 'em a question? Or would ye much rather keep to yerself? Tough choice, innit? :thinking:

I'm so fed-up with life... There's doesn't seem to be much point to mine, in particular.
My secondary school guidance councillor said as much, which is why I dropped out at 17.

But am just fed-up wae constantly trying to be optimistic when those around me are being feckin' miserable. That gits draining after awhile. And am tired wae being positive n' hoping for the best. :praying: Because nowt ever really goes well for me.

If it does, 9 times oot o' 10, it wus a fluke. Dumb luck at best. Sorry for being such a downer, I've reach my emotional breaking point the day. I've finally realised ah cannae continue to endure the torment n' stress o' living with toxic people who are in denial about just how awful they are. 20 years is far too long for that anyway...
