Aye, same here, darlin'. :sad: Though, ma trust issues kinda get in the way uh huvin' friends. Plus naebuddy seems tae get ma f**ked-up, surreal sense uh humour - except me n' some o' you on here. Which is bewilderin'.

I am dreading this Valentine's Day. I'm going to be miserable because of my single status. It's bad enough feeling crappy about it, and it feels like I'm supposed to be ashamed, too.
February 14th is the worst day of the year to be single.

Maybe you should throw an i hate Valentine's Day party? I actually went to one last year, made the day a little more bearable. Don't feel ashamed, even though i am in a relationship i still don't like Valentine's Day, it's just a way for people to make more money. It's commerc ialised nonsense really.

It's really just another day, Mikey. The only thing special about it is that commercial interests have decided to promote it in order to fill their coffers with your money. Think about all the bread you won't be spending on cards, flowers, candy, jewelry, etc. Think what else you could do with it. Be glad you're not one of those suckers waiting two hours or more for an overpriced meal in a fancy restaurant. It might look a little nicer or taste a little better than an everyday burger and fries, but the next time you see it, you won't know the difference. Sure being alone can suck, but that's true any day of the year. On Valentine's Day, being single can actually be an advantage.

While I agree with you, I still want to spend a Valentine's Day with someone special and pamper her. I haven't been able to do that yet. Jewellery is too expensive but a nice dinner and some chocolates and flowers. I would love to do that.
