Do you dream at night?

Ever had a dream that felt so real you wish you didn't wake up?

That's how it is for me.

We I did once, but I think it's because the events in my dream were actually a hell of a lot better than what was going on in real life.

Basicly I dreamt that my family and I were staying at this hotel so we could go scalloping. when we came back, I noticed in the crowd, my boyfriend was standing at the other side of the hall. I ran to him and glomped him so happy that I was able to finally see him. (we have a long distance relationship)

Later on in the dream, we were left alone in the room his family was staying in while his family went to go get pizza from Pizza Hut. I took this time saying I wanted to kiss him but at that point I told him I had a soar throat and didn't want to give it to him (because I actually did have a soar throat when I woke up). He told me it was OK but before I could actually kiss him, my damn alarm clock went off.

.... Dx I wanted to toss it against the wall. CAN'T I EVEN ENJOY A DREAM KISS?!

I never have dreams. My last dream was 2-3 years ago ? But maybe I do dream, but I just forget.

ahahahahaha same here dude! And I wake up the next second feeling my teeth ahhhhhhhhhhhh

Good to know I'm not the only one. ::p: What bothers me, is that these dreams feel so real. Something that's peculiar, is that these dreams started after I stopped having nightmares about paranormal phenomenons, going to hell and so on.

I definitely don't remember my dreams as much as I used to. Everyone dreams every night, you just can't remember them most of the time.

I don't remember my dreams very often. They're usually very strange when I remember them.

I know that when I had a sleep study done (for sleep apnea) they told me my REM cycle had like, a very slow onset. Don't know if that means anything though :p

Last night, I had a vivid dream

I love that none of my dreams ever relate to my current life / situation at all

I woke up for a pee, and, wobbling to the bathroom, the sink was full of water, with the taps on, overflowing onto the floor. Desperately, I reached for the plug and to turn off the taps, wondering how long this overflow had been happening. Something smelt terrible! How can you get this smell into a dream, if you've never smelled it before?

With the plug removed, as the clear water started to disappear down the hole, but was quickly replaced by a thick black fluid, popping out. I noticed that the toilet had been seperated from the toilet pipe, where the smell was coming from, and investigating the funnel pipe with my hand took me well away from my comfort zone. I realised the floor was awash with black fluid around my ankles and then soon my shins, and I couldn't see my bare feet below.

Every room was full of swirling muck, making me gag with vomit. Outside the window, the car park was full of black water, rising, almost up to windowsill level, so I shut the window to stop it coming in, and did it for all the windows. I was trapped inside, and the rate my heart was beating was really hurting! Too late to jump out, now the windows are shut, and the water's gone higher, but the glass hasn't caved-in yet.

On the 2nd floor, the only way out is via the ground floor door. The black is still constantly pouring in round the edges of my main door. I had to step out of the way, and release the lock. The door snapped off its hinges, hit the back wall, and splintered to pieces. I had a last second to take a last lungful of disgusting raw sewage aroma, and pop outside into the stairwell as my home filled with brown & black.

I closed my eyes, grabbing the banister outside, pulling myself downward, against the fluxing flow, filling the building, making my way down a couple of floors; hard to resist regular vomiting. Discovering my new sense of braille, I found the main door was no longer in the entranceway below, fighting my way out between the walls of the entrance, and feeling the redbrick exterior, where I'd never had a swim in the car park yet. Desperate for air, I floated up, in search of something fresh

Then I woke up
and felt like a wee

That's very vivid!!!

When I dream, I have the opposite scenario. My dreams are based on reality. I have strange recurring themes. There's always the same people in them and none of the people in my dreams are around anymore. The dreams are repetitive. I'm also always a teenager in my dreams. I'm 26 now but all my dreams I'm about 17 and every dream it's the same theme, the same people, I'm the same age. It's totally bizarre. I wake up really confused and it takes me a minute to remember the last 9 years of my life.

From my experience, sleep without dreams totally lacks depth and quality, you don´t wake up refreshed. To have dreams you need to give up sugar and junk foods. Also what I read helps if you take choline.

I don´t think it has to do with personality disorders, nobody would have them then :D.

Every time I go to bed anxious or worried about things related to my SA I always have dreams. Most of them are actually quite pleasant... Dreams of friendship, love and new and exciting experiences.

The sad part always is, of course, that then I have to wake up and face the current reality.
