Do any of you wish that you live in another time?

I would go forward in time, actually. While the chance of serenity and peace in much higher in past ages, there's still that one problem that bothers me. You know, that thing, where we die. Not gonna lie, that kinda sucks.

It might sound crazy and unrealistic, but I'm looking for semi-immortality. I would like to live in the age where I could expand my lifetime as I see fit, and quit when I'm ready rather then when my body just happens to expire. It's possible in theory.

Live long enough to see actual space travel become a reality. Or perhaps even the manipulation of time, if that were to be possible.

I mentioned this earlier in the thread and I agree with most of these points. :)

I agree with MsBuzzkillington. Would love to have lived 9-10.000 years ago, right after the last ice age. A simple life like nature intended it, spending my days gathering food in a green world, no overpopulation, no pollution, no guilt, no pressure from society, no unnatural long life and so on.

Ergh, no. Being a woman and all I think I'd much rather stay in this century. And I don't much like the way the world is headed at the moment (economy, over population etc) so the future doesn't look too bright either.

dont think that I would survive in a place like this, like if you wanted to kill someone they just would go there and do it,someone alone would pretty much die really easily just because they are alone.

I wish I lived in the Victorian era or was born in the 50's so I could be a young adult in the 70's.
They are two very different thoughts, but both sound fitting for me.

I don't know...

I have often wished that I lived in all kinds of different eras other than the one I am in now, but there are (of course) drawbacks to each time. Barbarism and sexism and disease... I suppose those were often the trade-offs for things we crave now like more free time, more community, more nature, etc.

It's hard to say, because I didn't actually live in that time. Maybe if I got a sneak preview via time machine first, then I could decide.

Don't forget that the grass is always greener.

(Damn cliches being so true all the time, hmph)
