he is very intelligent for preparing for the worst. the average sheep doesnt have the slightest idea what they will do when the SHTF even if they worry about it every day. I think it i irrational to be concerned about old Mayan prophecies but what motivates people is not necessarily logical, so who am I to judge? at least he ha channeled that fear into action which might save his family some day if the worst happens.

I've watched enough of Shaun of the Dead and The Walking Dead to know that you need to aim for the head. If you are going to use a gun, you better be a good shot. I think I'm going to use a machete or a scythe.

And the people who wasted money on supplies and bunkers that cost thousands(Though...one of those huge underground bunkers would be cool no matter what....batcave!)

When the night came....my father,brothers and I were lighting fireworks.
And they were home....but not a light was on in the house...not a sound being made.
They were cowering in their house with the lights off.........
My dad actually really buys into this one though.
He's not preparing...but He thinks something is going to happen.

most prophesies are self-fulfilling. the more people believe they're going to happen, the more they happen. our thoughts and behavior become inclined into making them come true. if someone tells you "you're going to die today," it would bother you so much that when you cross the street, you wouldn't notice a truck coming until it runs you over.

What I find very interesting, is when translated they call it the flipping of the earth, we now know that the poles do actually shift. And we are due one at some point in the future.

A pole shift will not happen over night ,it's a process that can take many years...if the poles started right now to shift I pretty sure I will be long dead before they are completely reversed.

I think it's a waste of energy to worry about anything in the first place, let alone some vague silly prophecy that has only been brought under attention and distorted in its true meaning to sell stuff to people who will believe anything.
I don't own a gun, guns aren't even allowed in my country. I don't know much about survival. I don't know what I'll do when our dykes flood. Why would I worry about things I can't control? I have enough problems on my own that I need to focus on. Going all Dwight Schrute from the Office, with guns hidden everywhere and 50 books about surviving in a post apocalyptic world will only make me a huge self-righteous paranoid weirdo who is out of touch with reality. Call me a sheep, but that's my opinion.
I agree if you're living in an area that is prone to earthquakes or hurricanes, it might be smart to always take precautions and know what to do in the case of such a disaster.
Inevitably eventually somewhere down the line in hundreds of thousands or millions of years humanity will face a huge global disaster. Wether it be a asteroid hitting, a new ice age, the earth becoming uninhabitable due to our exhausting the planets resources and destroying its eco systems, a global fallout , an unstoppable epidemic, etc. we will face something big as has happened before to older ecosystems and animal groups.
But it won't happen in our lifetimes.

Did you watch the video? A polar shift may take a while to build up, but the flip itself can be pretty dramatic.The current general worrying aspect of this isn't the actual flip itself
It's the weakness In the field which protects us from the radiation from the solar storms the sun kicks out at us everyday. This is already happening Watch the video if you get the chance and feel like doing so, it's quite informative and interesting.

videos like that always freak me out, I'm a over thinker, and my death is one of the thing I can't stop thinking about. Yet I always watch them
I know we are all gonna die one day, but I prefer to die out of nowhere than waiting for my death
