Coffee, yay or nay?

I learnt the hard way how coffee makes me twitchy when I worked at Starbucks. Am caffeine free now and calmer (and no heartburn or migraines too)

I don´t like coffee. Well there are worse things but I am just not accustomed to drink it. Cocoa is much better. Tea - I wonder which crazy person invented this brew.

I love coffee, but i'm not one of those coffee elitists. I'm not searching for a coffee that has to have a smooth, velvety texture to it. It can be freeze dried, air dried, I don't care. All I really care about is this, as long as those beans are loaded with caffeine, hey, i'm happy camper.

I loooooooove coffee! I am very sensitive to caffeine, though, so I have to watch how late I drink it, otherwise I'll be up all night!

Migraine ruled my world from birth until last year, sometimes leading to epilepsy. Meds seem to have fixed it for a year, but I think this website has done that too! Heartburn was new on the scene a coupla years ago. Nasty pain. Couldn't lie on front, back, stand, or on knees... Anyway, i think it's solved. ::p:

Coffee in the morning for me, flavored with dark cocoa and sweetened with licorice root. Trust me: it's the only way. Half-caf for the first cup or two, to help sweep away the cobwebs, then decaf, so as not to interfere with my midday nap. Too much caffeine gives me the jitters and tends to bring out the manic side of my bi-polar personality, so I try to keep it in check. Mustn't frighten the natives, you know.

I mostly use a single-cup drip-style contraption to make my coffee, but every few days I break out an old aluminum moka pot to squeeze one more cup out of previously used grounds. The moka pot gives the brew a distinct metallic flavor, but since it's essentially a free cup of coffee, I don't mind it too much.

In the afternoon and evening, I prefer tea, either green or herbal, depending on the hour and the mood. I just brewed the first pot of green tea in my new tea press, and managed to pour boiling water all over my hand in the process. Gonna have to work on that.

Yes. A ritual for me...boiling the water, pouring the hot water over the fine grind, gently stirring, adding more water, the steam rising in the morning sunlight, the aroma penetrating the fog of sleep. Though it is, admittedly, an addiction. There are times when I curse those caffeine withdrawals. I've quit drinking coffee when i was sick - generally doesn't agree with me then - but the aroma always seduces me back again.

I love coffee! I used to drink it all the time, but since my anxiety has gotten worse throughout the years, drinking coffee just adds more quick heartbeats/stomach aches/sickness throughout the day. I stopped drinking it for awhile because I didn't want to deal with the sickness but when you have insomnia and you only sleep 2/3hrs a night, you need some type of energy, lol.

I'll have one cup in the morning or early afternoon on a good day, but I might not finish it. Definitely not something for if I'm already feeling high-strung.
