Seriously, though, women get to wear little sundresses in the summertime. It's pretty much the closest you can get to feeling like you're wearing nothing and still get away with it.

I like to think that it depends if the girl is any good. Yeah, the guy helps, but as far as I'm concerned a woman is responsible for her own orgasms. (sorry, didn't mean to derail this thread into the gutter ::p:)
Lol, you so did, haha. But I suppose that is something for both genders to work on.

When I was nine, my mother went to complete her degree in another city, which left my father having to take up the childcare slack. He hired someone to look after us after school, but he still had to be away from work promptly to pick us up, and look after us if we fell ill. He was a senior civil servant (high up in the Treasury) and work cut him absolutely no slack whatsoever, in fact he was given a hard time about it.

(Admittedly, things on that front are changing. My brother got more paternity leave than his wife did maternity. And she's a midwife! You'd think she'd have been able take the time as vocational training.)
Back then there were less flexibility with fathers, as the traditional gender roles were more in-built in society. Good to see that area is changing, though. Your poor dad must've been worked to the bone!

Mm, yeah. Totally great. ^_^

You will be once you practice. ;)
Like I'd ever find a willing partner for that! Also anxiety stops me.

I like having boobs.
I like looking at them, hehehe.

I have always hated being a girl and wished I was born a guy.
It is great to read that there are other girls who feel the same.

We are rare, that's for sure.

Can't help that, that's just genetics. You could take steroids. :D

I actually am making progress on this one. I've been weight lifting since April, and there are certain exercises that I can use heavier weight than some guys I know. :D Thanks for all your other answers, I appreciate your input.

Well....women can experience multiple orgasms. Case closed?

If all we've got is makeup, nails, little dresses, and multiple orgasms, we're living a pretty shallow existence! :) Besides there are men that can have multiple orgasms too.

This is a tough question.

Maybe sensitivity & intuition.

Thank you for a thoughtful response. Sensitivity and intuition are things I need to learn to embrace rather than ignore.

I like having boobs.

I would like having them if men didn't openly stare at them. I mean, I know they're all looking, but can't they be discrete about it? ::p:

Re: Susan Faludi's Stiffed is worth the read

(Admittedly, things on that front are changing. My brother got more paternity leave than his wife did maternity. And she's a midwife! You'd think she'd have been able take the time as vocational training.)

To me, that's just more sexism. I know it used to be that men didn't get any paternity leave at all, but now they are, once again, getting better benefits than women. Will there ever be an end to this madness??

Thanks for the book recommendation, I'm adding it to my reading list.

Well, then I honestly don't know what to tell you. I love being a woman, but I've never considered not liking it. That would be like wishing I were six feet tall, or Chinese. Ain't gonna happen. At least you have the advantage of sex change if you want it.

Also:
"One issue is that the health system is not working for them. Services are not very male friendly."
I don't really know what this means. Why are they not male friendly?

Yeah, I don't have a clue what that means either.

I had to think hard about this one, as I was mostly drawing a blank. Honestly, if given the chance, I would totally be a guy for a day or two. (Not sure if I could go longer)

I guess what I like most about being a girl is all the clothes and all the beauty products we get to choose from. While I'm not super girly, I really like how much variety there is. There's definitely a lot more styles in clothing and even a ton more beauty products. If I was a guy, I'm not sure if I'd like all the limited options. I would just switch over to using girlier products. ::p:

Reminds me of this comic:

I'm not looking to change my sex, just to accept that I'm a girl and to like it.

That's funny, the variety of girly stuff drives me crazy! :D I hate making decisions, so I find clothes I like and wear them till they have holes, and I've been using the same makeup for 15 years. My boyfriend likes my clothes and makeup so I don't have much incentive to change it. I guess I'm kinda boring in that regard, LOL.

I am sure it is not decisive for happiness what gender one is, there are more important things. Like the overall personality, health, genes, intelligence, talents etc.

Af for me, I am a girl but don´t have many of those typically feminie traits, like enjoying fashion/make-up (which I´m not saying I´m proud of but it´s the way it is), also I don´t think I´ll have children so I skip the birth thing too. You can avoid periods as well if you have a proper anorexia.

We don´t have to do military service which i don´t know if it´s a positive or negative (I am lazy so I´d say it´s positive, but on the other hand it won´t make me the right "man" ::(:)).
I also don´t miss having the male reproduction organ because it must be pretty obnoxious and takes up unnecessary space. (But so do our breasts )
A bit positive thing about being a woman is, that at hitchhiking we get a ride faster than other people.

It's really not that intrusive. ::p:

This made me chuckle. :)

That's a really good point. Next time I'm pissed about some girl-related problem, I'll have to try and focus on that.

I hope you were joking, because that's not healthy! :)

Well one thing that HAS to suck about being a guy is going through puberty, and having to deal with getting erections while out in public! LOL

Maybe it's just me but this is something that rarely happens. I do say "rarely," though. ::p:
