  • Thanks.

Yeah DC have some good titles too.

But I'm also more of a Marvel fan as well. Maybe that got more to do the fact that I growing up with the Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Iron Man and Incredible Hulk cartoon shows during the 1990s.

So, what comic books do you collect?
As well as those I've just mentioned previously. I've also got a comic book based upon the Underworld movie series. As well as a signed copy Frank Miller's 300 and a Comic Con exclusive book of illustrations and character designs by Brian Schroeder (a.k.a. Pushead), which I bought from my local comic book store.

Sadly, as yet, no DC Comics or Manga - except for a issues of Bleach, But I'm sure I'll get around to adding a few Batman, Superman and manga comics to my collection, eventually. :)
Hiya, Ransford. Hope yer doing well. Here's a brief overview of the comics I collect. Like you collect them on and off or whenever I can afford to buy those hardback volumes with multiple issues, that the extent of my collecting.

Anyway, here's a brief overview of my comic book collection

    • Marvel Comics (Amazing Spider-Man, Captain America, X-Men. As well as few rare hard to find collectable 1st editions)
    • 2000AD (Mainly the Judge Dredd issues)
    • EC Comics (Hardback volumes of Tales from the Crypt and Shock Suspense Stories)
    • Todd MacFarlane's Spawn
    • The Preacher
    • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Anyway, there's a long but brief overview of my comic collection. Again, ma apologies for leaving it so late :)

    Hope yer doin' well.
Yup sorry about the silly mistake haha :D

Mind error reading is about catching your negative thoughts whenever you have them in your mind

eg You enter a crowded restaurant and you see so many people and you start thinking "Oh dear, all the people are looking at me. They must be thinking I look stupid and silly. They are judging my appearance and behaviour."

Whenever you have such thoughts, you must ask yourself:

    1) How do I know they are really thinking like that?
    2) What is the evidence?
    3) Did they tell you they are really thinking like that?
    4) Since there is no evidence, isn't what I am thinking not true?

These questions are called mind error reading because we are trying to show ourselves how erroneous and irrational our thoughts are.

At first, its not easy to get hold of this strategy but as you practice more, you will get better and your SAD will lessen. :)

Hope you find this strategy useful. :)

How did you celebrate Christmas? :)
    Hello Rans :)

Wishing you and your family a joyous Merry Christmas! :)

Yup, I am going to a therapist for 2 months and my condition seems to get better slightly.

How about you? Have you managed to overcome SAD? :)

I'm studying in uni and its really tough with SAD.

Thats nice :) I am sure you can prepare delicious meals. :)
Hi Rans :) (hope you dont mind me calling you that :) )

    How are you?

Sorry for my absence these few days because my SAD got quite bad recently and I was quite depressed.

    Thanks for your wishes. :)

    I'm studying degree in computing.

i do dread exams but exams is the only way to get my grades so that i can finish degree quickly haha.

    How about you?

Are you studying or working currently? :)
hello! I noticed you asked what kind of songs I like to write. Mostly I write depressing songs, I base them on the bad experiences I've had with guys I've had crushes on.
Hey! It was actually pretty cold this morning, in the 40s. But as the day goes on it gets warmer out. I am not sure the coldest we get but some nights where it freezes and we have to cover our plants.
Generally I don't get out much, but I've been making more of an effort this past year or so. I used to go to a nearby film theatre which showed world cinema films, and it was nice and quiet, usually just a few people in the audience and I could cope ok with that. Then they started showing more mainstream films and the place got busier so I stopped going.

I guess it depends on the style and tone of the show. I think Monty Python worked well being team written because the variety of ideas added to the overall colour and chaos of the show, whereas, with Fawlty Towers, too many cooks might've spoiled the broth - or the Waldorf Salad.
I enjoyed What About Bob, been a while since I saw that one though. Not sure if I've seen Caddyshack other than clips here and there. He's got a new one out over here at the moment, St Vincent, are you going to see it?

Red Dwarf, I think one of the original writers left after series 5 or 6 which could have something to do with it.

Hard to pick a single episode. Many of them have merged together in my memory. Do you have a particular favourite?
Bill Murray's always good to watch. Yes I've seen Red Dwarf, watched it when it was first shown and occasionally watch a repeat. I prefer the earlier series, I think it lost something later on.
Yes you've listed some nice films. Groundhog Day's one of my favourites and I've always enjoyed Innerspace. Some of the special effects in that film still look good today I reckon.

I'll have to check out radio 4 extra. I don't seem to listen to the radio so much these days but used to listen to shows like Sorry I Haven't a Clue, The Shuttleworths, Count Arthur Strong, etc.
Hello. :) I like a lot of genres but lately it has been a metal kick for me lately. xD I listen from metal to drum and bass. Not much a fan of country but I did grow up listening to it because of my parents.
    What are you into?
    Hi there,

Really sorry for my late reply. I had exams for the past few days.

I only cycle in parks. :) Cycling on the road seems scary to me hehe.

You have mentioned that you like fantasy related books. Do you like Harry Potter series? :)
Yes I have lots of favourites, mostly older films like Life of Brian, Spinal Tap, The Odd Couple, Withnail and I, many of Woody Allen's films, Laurel and Hardy, Keaton, Chaplin, Marx Brothers, Ealing comedies, etc. How about you?
Try not to take it too personally. Pigeons are notoriously aloof. Try squirrel winking instead, they love it.
    Hi there! :)

    How are you doing?

I love to read books, esp Agatha Christie novels :)

    And i like cycling.

    How about you?
