I'm going to gloss this over for the sake of time...
I've been struggling with my beliefs on feminism...
On one hand, I think that feminism has destroyed culture in many ways. We have the destruction of the family unit, now it takes two incomes to raise a family rather than the male's alone, now women are expected to do EVERYthing. Everything, let's be real. We are expected to take care of the children, the home, all of the chores, healthcare, the finances, vehicle maintenance, and compete fiercely for a career.
With feminism, I am not allowed to be a woman. Keeping house and nurturing is no longer revered as a valuable contribution to society, as it should be. The craft of nurturing the family/home is no longer considered a worthwhile use of time. Families are falling apart but this is not considered important? When families fall apart, society falls apart.
With feminism, women see men as useless, only there to use us for sex and to have their noses wiped, almost like having another child (especially with gamer/broculture gag). Men resent women for being "independent" (even though we don't really have a choice in this). But if she is not independent men see her as a user! There is a huge divide.
On the other hand, feminism seems great. I should get equal pay for equal work, even if I do have to leave to have kids. My contributions at my job have been every bit as effective and important as any male's. I can own property, vote, and choose to leave if a guy I am with turns out to be an abusive SOB...
Sometimes I see feminism as a destructive burden, other times I see its benefits...
