What do you think about before you sleep?

on a good day i just think of what is my mom thinking about . what is she saying , because she comes home very late at night and i normally pretend to be sleep to avoid being yelled at .

on bad days i think of everything ! starting from young ages .. 7..8 all the way to what am i going to do tomorrow and make a check list in my head but constantly updating it . then mostly i think about random things like my body image and what i dont like and what i do like , and just wish i was a different person

Sorry for being such a girly right now, but how adorable. I hope you find that person too, she'd be lucky because it's nice you care. Okay, I admit I snuggle on my pillow or teddy underneath the covers so my mom won't catch me, lol.

Awwwww!!! this made my heart melt. When you find that someone, she is going to be one lucky lady to have you.

I agree. She will be well looked after. :)

Mine too. :)
I hope you find someone soon drummer.

Thanks y'all, it would be awesome finding someone to replace my sleeping bag but very highly doubt I will, oh well

I think about being healthy again like when I was in my 20's. Sometimes I can't think because my cat lays on my chest, and paws me in the face for attention.

You wanna know what I think about before I fall asleep, well it's sad really. First thing I do is roll up my sleeping bag and have it substitute as a human body and I basically just cuddle with it as if it were a person and then I create conversations in my mind that I can have with this "person". We talk about sports, weather, personal feelings, etc. and yeah this is pretty much what I think about/do before I sleep every night, pretty freakin sad, eh? I'm in need of someone to cuddle with desperately.

I do the same with a pillow but usually I just get angry with all the antropocentric people in the world untill I'm furious. I always do this when I got nothing else to concentrate on. Luckily my antidepressants is partly a sleeping aid or I'd never fall asleep.

Standard nightly thinking routine:

- Attempt to come up with some sort of cool daydream, like being a time traveller or having super powers, being able to do magic, etc....

- Get sidetracked fairly quickly and it ends up being about a girl (no-one in particular just that sort of general theme...sex, relationships, etc...)

- Realise i'm going to die alone

- Worry about death and turn the light on for a while again because i'm too scared to go to sleep

- Try and forget about it

- Drift into morbid daydreams about suicide or just getting hit by a car or something

- Fall asleep

I totally also calculate how much sleep I can get.

I try not to think. I can't sleep if I'm thinking. If I'm not having any luck, sometimes I'll pop in a dvd.
After I take my contact lenses out, I can't see the damned thing anyways... I lay there and listen to the dialogue until I crash.
Reading helps too. I have glasses. ;)

Usually have imaginary conversations with the cute girls I see every day but never have the gall to approach.

-or-

Think of what I should have said to someone that day.

-or-

Think about everything all at once (and I mean everything).

It's a lot to think about, and after a while I just knock out from the workload.

I usually start thinking about what I need to do the next day and then roll over and spoon my partner  and then I fall asleep.

I usually run over imaginary conversations that I'd like to have, or go over things which occur to me that I could have said to someone in a conversation I have had, or about anything that's bothering me, or about things which I would like to happen.

My thoughts before I go to sleep are typically, "I hope I am able to get to sleep tonight." Some nights I suffer terrible insomnia and do not have the option of sleeping in because my job requires me to wake up early, regardless of the late hour I fall asleep.

My mind purposely works against me when I'm trying to fall asleep. I think about anything and everything during this period.
