I have problem with how I look , especially with my clothes.. I have not buy any new clothes in years and I am too scared because of social anxiety.. So I look real weird and daggy.. This is one of the reason I don't like go outside.. Anyone else has this problem?

My problem is I hate clothes shopping. Hmm, I hate shopping period.

I have always gone for the strong clothes which are more or less working attire. Cargo pants, lots of pockets. And work shirts. Very strong and durable material. I never can tell when I'll want to walk through some spiky brush. Fancy clothes would tear. Waste of mullah.

I also lack a sense of fashion. What's hot and what's not?

I am very scared of the people at my class who I may see in the near future who will possibly remember that I wear the same clothes for like 3 years now.. D:
I read in forum that people here have mainly fear of shopping rather than how they appear in their own clothes.. I only have like 5 different clothes I wear D:
I wish I could work at clothes shop but that is also scary..

I love looking at clothes and clothes shopping. That's probably the girliest thing about me. ::p: But I'm afraid of wearing a lot of clothes I like because I'm afraid of drawing attention to myself and what other people would think. Because of that, I probably have the most boring, basic wardrobe there is. All I wear are hoodies, sweaters/long sleeve tees, tanks, t-shirts, and jeans. Very rarely do I wear prints or bright colors, most of my wardrobe consists of dark colors and neutrals with some hints of color, I don't wear skirts or dresses (partly because they also make me feel uncomfortable), I very rarely wear heels even though I do have the perfect feet for them and can walk in them easily, and I don't wear dressy tops or any other type of pants besides jeans. My wardrobe needs a major makeover, and I'd love to do it if I wasn't so worried about everyone else.

I've always found clothes shopping stress provoking. So like you, I end up with no clothes. So I'm too ashamed to leave the house. So I don't do any clothes shopping.

But it's amazing what good clothes will do for your confidence.

I love to buy and shop for clothes. Once I enter a clothing store your lucky if you can get me out in under 5 or more hours. I rarely every by anything, though, which is the funny thing. On topic, though. I have alot of clothes and I'm never happy in them. I never think I look like I should in them or look as good as other people would. So, I don't think it really has anything to do with the clothes, I think it has to do with you. If you don't like yourself it's not going to change when you put on new clothes. If you go out and buy those clothes, you might feel pretty for a little while, but it's likely that not long after you will be unhappy with the way those look as well. It always happens to me.

This describes me exactly!!!!!! I have a big problem with clothes. There are so many things I really want to wear, but I'm too afraid to actually do it. I also think everything just looks weird on me, and it makes me not want to buy anything at all. Clothes shopping is really such a hassle. I hate that my wardrobe is soooo boring, and the most annoying part of it is that I don't want it to be, at all.

I try to take notice of what looks good on people with similar age, build, looks as me, it makes it much easier to know what to look for. Shop online if shop shopping is a turn-off. There can be more to choose from online and good discounts.

Clothes shopping is a painful experience. As long as I look put together I'm okay wearing anything.

I've never really cared much for clothing, nor fashion. I don't even get it, apparently. 85% of the time something I really like is viewed as weird clothing, eventually I just kinda stopped caring. Now I wear comfort clothes most of the time. Sweaters, T-shirts and sweatpants. They're comfortable and give me a wider range of motion the a jeans/ironed vest for example. These clothes also last. I have about 7 nearly identical pairs of pants that have last over 6-7 years.

The distinct downside of wearing these type of clothes is that, combined with hair style of demeanor of speech, people often think I'm mentally challenged, and treat me accordingly.

I often buy clothes that I dislike once I'm at home, or I find they're too small or too big. I like going shopping with a female friend because then they can judge wether the clothes look alright on me as I'm a poor judge, but they can be extremely vague about wether something looks good.

In general I don't really mind the experience of shopping, but I can get a bit annoyed when there's too many people in the shop.

I only buy clothes when i need to ie - when they are worn out or gone too small.

The jumper i'm wearing now i've owned since i was 16! It's in perfect condition and it's not in any way out of fashion so why should i change?!

Good.

I refuse so many of any type of clothing, because they were made with a 'particular market in mind' and I'm nowhere near that. I say no the sales and marketing, or discounts - that's encouraging us to buy rubbish. I never got to design my own textiles.

I do love my wardrobe, though. After selectively waiting years to pick anything.

Take up knitting and dressmaking Mike :)

My gran made all her own clothes, isn't that amazing!

I am not particularly interested, though not entirely uninterested, in fashion. I'm am interested in style, especially exploring an individual style.

i find something i like, then just buy a number of the same thing in different colors and wear them as my "uniform of the day"

polo shirts and shorts for summer, turtlenecks and jeans for winter

quick, easy, painless

i've toyed with the idea of just buying everything in the same color to make it that much more simple - but i get bored too easily

I like clothes shopping (one of the ways in which I'm a stereotypical girl!) Usually I feel better when I look better.

Best solution for anyone who doesn't like to physically shop -- get your clothes online. Take your measurements, narrow the clothes down by price. You've got a wide range to choose from and it's very convenient. :)
