Offensive Reputation Messages

I actually like the rep points. I don't really use it that often but I have given out good reputations and bad ones. I was never mean or foul when leaving notes on bad reputations. Id mostly give those out to people who are being rude or mean or crude. I'm not the type to tell someone that stuff on the forums.. I think that just leads to more drama and possible bans.

Luckily I haven't gotten any mean reputations. I think I got 2 bad ones and 3 good ones. I've only gotten one that really bothered me. I was given a bad reputation for comforting another member on the forum. That's a bit ridiculous and I wish whoever wrote that little message would just leave me a personal message about it instead of anonymously letting me know through a bad reputation thingy.

With that said, I guess it's best that it's disabled since some people aren't using it for its proper use and they aren't moderated.

For the most part I don't like reps/negs other than it can be used as a bit of a quick visual reference to see who is helpful and who's just a troll.

But having the ability to do it anonymous is just begging for abuse and trouble.

Then again I'm a noob here still learning the workings of the site and who everyone is.

I like being able to give good reputation points, but not bad ones. And it's fun to receive good rep messages. If you disagree with someone, just ignore that person's message or politely tell that person why you disagree.

I really don't understand why people would want to act so hateful on a site especially as this. We are looking for friends and help here. We should be comfortable saying what we really feel without someone bashing us for it. I don't get it! Those who do such will be banned and that's a good thing!

Do you wanna know what's slimy? When you disagree with someone and you're so scared of writing your own opinion that you prefer sending offensive reputation messages to them while remaining anonymous. You can't be more slimy than that.

That's all I'm gonna say. Karma will take care of the rest.

That's quite pathetic. I'm sorry you had to deal with that. I wish it would show the usernames, too. I don't understand why they leave it anonymous. Doesn't make much sense to me. People are just rotten and immature. It's so ironic because this is supposed to be a website where people try to help others, not put them down.

But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. its deleted now .. possible mod NWO conspiracy..

I, only give out positive rep. I think I have only given out negative rep once because I assumed by the tone of their post that they were the ones that had given it to me. I may have been wrong but I was willing to take a bit of a chance with that person, but other than that I am usually pretty nice and fair.
