^ I do too. When I was a kid, during the summer my parents would take my brother and I to the beach in the evening rather than in the day just to avoid the crowds. We would all walk along the beach, my mom sometimes picking up a stray towel or two from where the tourists left it behind. :: My dad would sometimes have his metal detector out scanning, and my brother and I would either separate and walk with each parent or go play in the water. That water is gorgeous! I miss living near the beach. There were always too many people for me during the day, but I loved going there at night.
Ohh, yes. I'm a huge fan of storms. Especially at sea where the waves can get really epic.Sunbathing bores me to tears, but I like going to the beach during storms (out on the coast, Oriental Bay doesn't count).
I love the... raw energy of nature.
How beautiful is this!?
Especially at sea where the waves can get really epic.
They sure do. Wish I'd taken the picture a few weeks earlier when they were covered with the most snow I'd ever seen thus far that was brought in by a passing storm cell at the time. They are pretty high. I think the highest peak, San Gorgonio Mountain, is a little over 11,000 feet. Looks especially nice during the winter. I'll be sure to get a few more shots once the snow comes in again
I got sent to Vegas for a conference, and when I woke up my first morning there, I looked out the window to see a giant pink Energizer bunny floating past.
we're not in Kansas anymore
Wow, that's incredibly awesome.A short jaunt from my front door. Not bad for being in the middle of a city.
Challenge accepted~Where I live,if I am not mistaken it was the most polluted city in Japan once:
