Hey, skateboarding is a pretty awesome skill. I'm actually planning to give it a try, but haven't quite gotten up the courage to do it yet. Any tips for a beginner?

Sorry, this website is huge, and very popular finding it hard to reply fast lol!

Best tip...hmm get used to pain, and don't be embarrassed when you fall off, do what I do and laugh :) Have you never done it before? It's going to be very hard at first but when I first started I stood there on the spot outside my front garden doing nothing but try to Ollie (jump, assuming you know that but just in case you don't).

This helped me get balance on the board which is something you have to get in order to do anything else. You also can not do much if you can't Ollie. So if I was you I would go out and practice learning to Ollie. I can't really give you anymore tips right now but once you have attempted an Ollie then I will be able to give you more tips and advice :)

Also be prepared to spend a lot of cash on shoes if you take it up properly lol, it will eat your shoes!

To Ms. Moa and Ms. Weirdy, thanks a bunch, though being famous and strong > being indoors for about 6 months writing in a notebooks.

Pfft, whatever! ::p: It's apples and oranges, really... and who wouldn't want a whole fruit salad! :D

I never made anything "awesome", but just to write something, people are usually curious about my travels.

I've travelled through Spain (where I live), Andorra, France, Monaco, Italy, San Marino, Vatican City (more or less :p), Switzerland, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Czech Republic, Croatia, Greece, Sweden, Russia, Tunisia.... and I think that's it.

Not that I can be proud of it, as other people have really amazing stories to tell, but I guess it's the only thing I could say lol

The awesome thing here is the power I felt under my fingers. I did that much stuff in the army I don't know what was the best.

A heads up on why it's called black rain. In the first gulf war the Iraqies called this the black rain. Each battery of MLRS contains six units, each unit has a pod of 12 missiles, each missile contains 1000 small black grenade like bomblettes. The British Army call it the grid square removal system, this is because each battery of 6 units can effectivley destroy one entire 1km x 1km grid square on a map within 2 minutes. So thats six units multiplied by 12 missiles multiplied by 1000 bomblettes each equals 72,000 pieces of explosive ordinance. Hence why in 2 minutes a 1km x 1km square will be wiped off the map.

And I was one of the guys that pushed the button.

wow everybodies done awesome things but me. Ive never done anything in my life.

The question is not: what have you done that is as awesome or more awesome than what everyone else has done?
The question is: What's the most awesome thing you have done? It could be something extremely simple, yet something you really enjoyed. Maybe when you watched your favorite movie for the first time was the most awesome thing you've ever done.
I dunno, you tell me. :)

That is really awesome. I have never been outside the States to any extent worth mentioning. Just the thought of everything you have seen and experienced in your travels awes me.
