For what it's worth...I've never done drugs in my life and haven't had any alcohol since I was 17 :)

same, I won't even take medicine and when I do drink (which isn't often) it's like one beer.

yeah, if your parents would like to read this, they can know that i've never done any drugs and i've never been drunk in my entire life..... and if they'd like to check my profile, and look at my "more posts by agoraphobickatie", they can see how often i leave more positive and encouraging posts trying to help people on this site any way that i can.. they'd find the same thing on many of the other people's profiles as well... i'm sorry about your parents =/ they don't seem too supportive..

If I had to live with them I'd have more problems than just SA. Trust me when you get out of that paranoid environment you will do better, but of course you have to wait till your 18.

Sounds like they are the root of your problems, feel free to create a new account and I will ignore the 'one account' rule.

For myself, I am not on drugs or alcohol and consider myself a mature and responsible parent with a good work history who has struggled with social phobia since childhood. So if they read this thread, they can stick that in thier pipe and smoke it!

Oh and if anyone IS dodgy and 'out to get you', report them to me or the other mods. we will even take protection of members here to the authorities if it breaks any laws

That would be a baseless and completely irrational assumption. If they actually believed it. More likely it's simply part of the general effort to exert control over you, and convince you that no one else in the world will ever be nice to you or want to help you--except them.

Ah. That sucks. The same would probably happen to me if my parents found out what I actually do on the computer. You know, because- like every other parent out there- they watch too much TV and think everyone on the internet is a stalker, predator, or rapist. :D

Now parents have the right to worry but maybe not that extreme.. I mean they dont know what is the nature of this site or understand exactly what is going on here or what kind of people are here.. They probably got scared from this site thinking you will meet disturbed people around here...
I suggest you be tough, talk to them, explain the situation and let them see whats happening here... Probably, they'd explain to you how they see things or even understand and change their minds?
