The Goal Thread

I thought it might be a good idea to start this thread and have everyone on the site participate. So what i was thinking was we each reach write down a goal we want to achieve at some stage. It dont have to be anything huge like getting marrired or having kids can be anything that is holding you back because of your SA for instance something as small as wanting to answer the phone or maybe walk to the end of your front garden or anything else. You can write it down here it dont have to be the same day or week or month even but when you feel like you have achieved it come back and update the rest of us on your triumph!

I just came up with this idea a few minutes ago i thought it would be good to see people overcoming small obstacles and it might support and give inspiration to others to make there goals that easier to achieve :)

So i'll start,

I wanna go to nightclub someday while i'm still young and able to dance lol

short term goals - I've got my 2nd driving test on thursday so passing that would be nice!

Medium term goals - to get a full time job and to stick it out and prove to myself I can hack it, and also to get my own place, either buy or rent, just so I can feel truly independent.

Long term goals - to keep working on my art to create an overall awesome body of work, with albums and poetry and artwork and animations!

Longer term goals - to write, animate and soundtrack my own film one day, by myself

Life time goals - to figure out the meaning of life!

I'd better get to work!

I want many things but I don't wanna say like oh by __ year I'll have ___ because I don't want to jinx it lol or to set myself up for failiure

My short term goal is to go to college, and then stick with it. Maybe even get a girlfriend while I'm there...

After finishing college I want to join the military and start my life over.

To be able to write good music more often, and to be able to be able write lyrics.

Having people to talk to for a start, then being able to talk. Also I guess having a real female with whom I can give and receive affection, eventually haha.

1. Finish my course and graduate and hopefully find a job.

2. Get on a plane for the first time in my life and take a trip by myself to visit someone very special to me, whom I've known for a very long time.

3. Hopefully get married and start a family. =)

1. get a job that i can keep even wen i start school again in september.
2. move out of my current apartment and try to find a more reasonable one.
3. continue what i've started even though it may be extremely hard.
4. fix up my car the way i want it.
5. continue the fight against SA and depression, more so depression and all of these negative thoughts i have circling around me.

I know I can do these things, its just that I have to set my mind to do it and not put myself down all the time. Once i try to get out of that frame of mind, i kno i can do what i need to do to succeed

Travelling travelling travelling travelling!!
Spending the summer abroad like a normal uni student, travelling and partying. Though I'm in final year next year so not many more chances to do that. But I'm dying to go travelling. But being able to get around Ireland would be important first, as in being able to get around where I live, never mind getting around other countries on my own!

I'll rank mine in the order i need to get things done:

1. Find a full time job that pays well with all the health benefits. Not to mention I need to enjoy it and it has to be stable.

2. Save more money and feel financially comfortable for the near future.

3. Find a nice place to live that isn't overtly expensive

4. Probably start looking to date again (since I've been out of the dating seen for the past two years or so. Mainly due to my confusion in life and dealing with my OCD)

5. Begin with hobbies and interests full time again.

6. Look for further training and career based things that could help me in the long run.

7. Stay on the road to success and not let certian things like OCD stand in my way.

1. Let that tendon in my shoulder heal up so I can get back to doing push ups. At least I think it's just a sore tendon....

2. Get a job.

3. Get myself set up so I can actually record some of the song ideas I've come up with over the years. And maybe even record a complete song!

4. Start playing at least one of my guitars every day. I'm sorely out of practice and I need to justify keeping 5 of them around.

Four is a nice, even number, so I'll stop for now.
