Strange Dreams

Ok so I have had 2 weird dreams in the past 2 nights, the first night I dreamt I was flying over obstacles such as volcanoes, mountains and fire.. holding onto some sort of red gem that was allowing me to fly

and last night I dreamt I was on a boat with a girl I know and we had to swim across to get to an island but we feared sharks we ended up swimming over anyway and I felt myself going over a shark but it did not attack me then when we were at the island I dreamt of having an orgy with myself and my frnd and 3 other guys it was so WEIRD hahahahaha

I had a dream not too long ago , i was in a van and we were driving , and i saw out the window there was ancient stone buildings from 2 million years ago, ( i literally somehow thought that in my dream) and shortly after i saw these remains of ancient buildings ....
I realised i was dreaming. I knew it was a dream :eek: so i decided to get out of the van, and i walked into these woods and there was a path i was on , the path split going left up a hill to a house and going right into the woods. I ended up going up to the house, and shortly after that i woke up. But the coolest part about that dream was i knew it was a dream , and was having thoughts while dreaming

Yeah lucid dreaming is cool. I have only experienced it a couple of times, and have trouble holding it as I either go deeper again, or wake up.

Funnily enough, I rarely remember my dreams but usually when I do, they're weird as hell.

In one of my more recent dreams, I was getting married to someone whose face I couldn't see/couldn't remember. We were doing some weird catwalk thing at what I assumed to be the place the wedding was taking place. Then we randomly started dancing, haha. I remember thinking "this is nonsensical, it HAS to be a dream" and then I pinched myself. (Does that count as lucid dreaming?)

I assume I have strange dreams because I daydream a lot.

Oh man I have the weirdest dreams sometimes...here's one I had a few weeks ago, it still sticks out to me.

I don't quite remember how it started but I do remember that I was in my old high school's (I've graduated now) cafeteria. I was eating McDonalds alone and this "Goth" girl approached me. She was dressed in these knee-high combat boots, a pleated mini-skirt, dark leather, gauged ears, and her face was ghostly pale but quite beautiful. After the encounter with her I returned to a sort of hospital room to lay down...

Somehow I ended up outside her house with a friend of mine, the house was shaped like a tall watchtower. We entered and it was entirely circular inside. Her parents appeared to be in a slight catatonic state and were mesmerized by the TV, but they did say that "She's upstairs".

My friend left but I began to ascend the rickety spiral staircase. They were abnormally weak and I felt as if I was going to break them after every step I took. It felt as if the entire house was shaking upon every footstep I made. When I finally did reach the top I opened the door and she was nowhere to be seen. Her room felt trippy...like something out of a whacky acid trip.

Suddenly she kissed me and we began to make-out passionately. It felt like it lasted a while but then she finally pulled away. I did stay a while with her and she told me my breath stinks. =/
But we teleported inside this sort of virtual haunted house she had created. I forgot the name...but it did have one. There were all sorts of traps to avoid and it felt dangerous to be inside there. She showed me the way to avoid everything though. Some of the traps involved flamethrowers, chainsaws, etc.

I then left her room and descended quickly down the rickety stairs. Her parents mumbled something as I left and I paced myself swiftly down the street. As I returned home I checked MySpace for some reason and I found her and read over her entire profile. It felt like an obsession.

every time we sleep, we always have 4-5 dreams:) you just can`t remember them but we have that many. and thats probably not the weirdest dream you ever had. for me, my weirdest dream would be, i`m in my school here in japan, with my classmates back in the philippines and the US. and vice versa on all of that. i dreamed of it a lot of times:) pretty cool.

I usually have strange ones, but last night i dreamt of some of you in here lol, i was just chatting to some of you in it and then met up with a few which i know would never happen but it was kinda cool. No orgy's!!!::p:(with reference to missjess's) hehe

Do you believe in the meaning of dreams? I think they have to do with the non-concious part of our mind, so whenever I have a dream I try to analyse what it has to do with my life or feelings.

I used to have dreams when I was about eight where everything would be perfect squares and the background was black and the squares were brown, and I would be happy and my brother would come and mess it up, although we couldn't see eachother or him doing it and It would scare me :L

I either have violent or disturbing dreams most of the time.Feels silly to have "nightmares" at 25,but my therapist says it's not surprising.Considering the obsessive amount of critical thinking we do and the stress mental health can cause..it's not surprising our dreams can be wacky I guess :)

Quite a few people I have spoken to with SA have said they get violent dreams too,I wonder if it's a side effect of the anxiety,or maybe because linked to the fact we have all been through some sort of trauma.

Anyone else get dreams...god this is hard to explain,but it's almost like watching a movie or your in someone else's dream?But your not physically in the dream yourself.I find them quite weird.

Ok everyone, sit down close your eyes the dream weaver is in session..... well no, I got this from dream mood so there goes my cred!

Flying = new sence of freedom, where you have previously felt restricted.

Volcanoes, dormant = past issues put to rest.

Mountains= obstacles & challeges that you have to overcome- on top of mountain achieved- the realization of your goals.

Fire = missed it.

Red gem-Garnet = loyalty, devotion or overcoming negative feelings..

Flying = new sence of freedom, wher you previously felt restricted.

Boat = missed it.

Swimming = seeking emotional support, from the girl you swam with.

Island = ease, relaxtion, comfort need a vacantion & escape te stress in you life.

Sharks = anger hostility, struggling with your individuality & independance, especially in some aspect of your relationship- shark is the person who has no regard for your well being.

Orgy = going to many directions and as a result spread too thin.


Session over, turn the lights back:)

OMFG u totally just outlined one of my recent dreams that I had !! I dreamt that I was flying over water, a volcano and mountains but I was holding onto a red gem to allow me to fly then I landed in my friends house that she had just built and for some reason it was dark the wind was blowing and it was in a grey/ashy setting we eventually left her place and flew over more obstacles it was an awesome dream :)

I can relate to voilent/evil dreams aswel I dont get them anymore but I remember just before my panic attacks started and when I used to take pills and coke I had a fuking scary dream I dreamt I was in a dark grave yard I was floating above a gravestone and a fuking scary firey demon came out of nowhere and was after me I couldnt move then I realised I was awake and I tried to scream tried to move but I couldn't I think some ppl would call this a outer body experience it happened 2 times again after that dream where I couldn't move and I woke fkn scary **** :-(
