I love everything French because they have a penchant for off-genre movies

I got a copy without subtitles which surprises me although it can take a while to know it's not English. Plenty of cases

Maybe many movies are modelled to fit the audience, making us think it's just like ourselves.

I see obsessiveness in Cyril (Pitbull) - his Dad gives up on him - it's too much hard work to get on and he refuses to see him. A bit like my Dad but much more my older brother to tells me what to do and what not to do. He's my life's worst bully (the right age to be a father. Big family skew)

Cyril is rebellious and chooses his own path; he doesn't bow to authority

Concussion right at the end was the cause of all my terrrible woes leading to migraine and epilepsy and affects all aspects of life. No straight head; no life. Partially resolved

I loved my bike and still it's my best friend

Finding Nemo: Quite good, for a kiddies film (7/10)

10,000 BC: Entertaining (7/10)

Taken: Especially like the awesome shooting/fight scenes. Starring Liam Neeson (8/10)

Life of Pi- 10/10 (The best movie I've watched so far in my opinion.)

Eternal Sunshine- 9/10

Perks of being a Wallflower- 2/10

That movie was just plain unrealistic and full of trashy stereotypes. I'm actually tired of the same quiet person swept with extrovert plot and able to do things they wouldn't normally do. Nothing new there.

He Who Gets Slapped (1924) - 9/10

The great Lon Chaney plays a brilliant scientist who, having been betrayed by his patron and publicly disgraced, reinvents himself as a clown. In this role, he reenacts his humiliation, taking slap after slap, having his heart torn out for the joy of the crowd. Will he continue to suffer the pangs of bitterness and unrequited love, or will he pay the ultimate price for revenge? A nicely dark picture.

I hate it when movies do that unrealistic stuff too. All those unrealistic characters, ugh.

Watched Straw Dogs recently. 2011 ( or so) version. Give it a 5-6/10 overall. Similar to original version although relationships btween characters was odd (to me anyways) in both versions. Final death scene of remake version
I give 9/10! Had to find it online and rewatch it about 4xs!

I didn´t like that movie either, it was so boring and cliché... I don´t get why a lot of people love it.... There are way better movies in that genre..

Red vs Blue series/movies (1 - 10) - 7.5

RvB is technically a web series, but you can buy the seasons as 2+ hour compilations, which watch a lot like movies.

It's interesting to see their production methods develop over the seasons/movies. The serious writing can get a bit corny for my taste, but the humour is always great.

If they actually made Ben Kingsley play as the real The Mandarin and make him the real villain here instead of the plot twist, this film would have been much better, I was a bit disappointed.

I would have liked that, as well. The entire movie, I couldn't put a name to his face. Watching the credits, I saw Ben Kingsley and was stunned. I didn't recognize him, but he definitely would have made a good villain.

Has anyone seen The Purge yet? I've been wanting to, but I don't know if I want to go alone.

A fair excuse to think that years of phenytoin, keppra (levetiracetam) and topiramate since I got epilepsy diagnosed and spleen removed in 2006

Perhaps normal jolly people giggling in shrieks of triumph like the royal family would see me as a dark-eyed alcoholic and heroin person which I'm not, because I don't have anyone to share those things with

I did use the zombie description for how I felt a lunchtime - dozy - but that's my own inner feeling and can't be seen

I never like to use medical excuses. My upbringing is the main problem

I feel much better these days

World War Z 7.3/10

I'm a big Walking Dead fan, so I knew I'd like this. It only had slightly more violence and gore than TWD does. Good fun with an interesting take on finding "the fix" for a zombie takeover.

In my opinion MOS is clearly the best interpretation of the Superman mythos to date, but it wasn't as grounded and realistic as I hoped. The fact that there was no explanation as to how the Kryptonites came to look exactly like humans and seeing how the aliens all spoke English kind of ruined any attempts the movie makers had to keep the movie realistic IMO. There was also a number of minor plot holes and inconsistencies which bothered me. The special effects and especially the battle scenes were spectacular however I also really liked Amy Adams as a more adult and contemporary Lois Lane. Many people have complained about the films ending, but to me it was a perfect way to end this chapter of Clarks journey. All in all a good summer blockbuster action movie, but if you are looking for a new Dark Knight you will probably be disappointed.

I have no idea why people like it so much... the acting is pretty decent, but the characters are thin/typical and the siege is confusing, which I guess is the point because realism. Still, it's nothing amazing.
