Post your voice

Right... So, since I seemed to find it fairly easy to post my voice before, and since quite a few people have posted themselves singing, I thought I'd challenge myself and do the same... Here's a selection of me singing clips from four different songs: 'Everything's Alright' from Jesus Christ Superstar, 'In the Name of God' by Sabaton, 'State of Grace' by Arena and 'Smile' by Charlie Chaplin... You can't say it's not a mixed bag...

Starry Singing...

Oh dear...

Aw - your voice is sweet. Just like your soul. Not a bad singer too.

I like the way you said FIRE

I love your voice and your accent! Your voice is so "warm" and friendly sounding, ... Really, very nice... I don't think you sound American at all though... Which is a positive thing, when I say it, as I like hearing accents properly, not intermingled with American or English accents... Lovely voice! ^_^

Thank you very much, your a nice person, and you have a sweet voice, I heard you singing it was fabulous :)

If you're wondering why I was reading a bunch of random words, It's because I was reading using an accent tag that has been running through the internet.

Very nice ShyoreoCookie :) I like your voice and you you pronounced crayon and remote control.

Oh Starry, you are just that. That was so adorable. :)
I like your voice too. Now I want dance in a musical or some reason.
Wonderful.

Thank you for the compliments everyone! ^_^ Especially to Kia for complimenting my soul! ^_^

Oh and Kia, I actually toned down the way I said "Fire" for the recording as I felt a little embarrassed... It's usually said in an even more "fiery" way and usually followed by dark/evil laughter hahaha. (I'm just copying the live version of the song in the style... I'm not doing it because of insanity...)

Thank you for the compliments everyone!

What microphone and recording equipment did you use to record your voice when you were singing, Starry? Just wondering... because your voice sounds really clear (no background noise).

Just a cheap one I bought years ago... A logitec one... *Goes to see if I can find it* Click here for the one on Amazon. I'm sure it was cheaper than that when I bought it...

Okay, I see it's a noise cancelling microphone. I guess that's why I was wondering. :) It seems to picks up your voice no problem - would you recommend it? (Though, I'm unsure the same would be said of my Scottish accent?) :D

Yes, it's lasted well, I used it every day for over a year talking with my (now) husband via MSN before we met in person. Not to mention the fact I've used it a lot generally, for 2 or 3 years before that and since. It's fairly good and clear, as you can tell from my recordings. The only problem I've had with it is that the "hinge" (as the angle is adjustable) went loose and it will not stay upright on its own, I had to put a blob of Plasticine around it to fix that problem. I'd also recommend Scottish accents, btw. ;)

Awright, I'll look into it! Though, the recommendation of the Scottish accent(s) goes without saying, darling.

;) ::p:

It's just, the USB microphone I'm currently using doesn't really pickup my voice that well. That's not an excuse, by the way. It's true. Fiddling about the volume levels doesn't really make any difference, either. Also, I think it's because my accent is a quite broad form of Scottish as well. That's make it difficult for recordings to come out well. So, if everyone on here can be a wee bit more patience with me?! I'll upload my voice as soon as a find a microphone which is properly suited to ma voice and accent. I promise that...

Just a wee update for youse all: After some careful "research" - I use that term loosely - I've finally settled upon the following microphone:

The Zoom H2n Handy Recorder - £150, though? A worthwhile investment? All the other cheap mics I've have been a load o' pish! Anyway, I'm hoping tae purchase the Zoom H2n this week and start recording ma voice. Get it up ye! ::p: :D

PS: Will the length o' the recording matter? Since I've no' really set a limit - might improvise it, actually! Or does the "ramble on/talk as much as you can" rule still apply?

Okay, a brief bit of silliness from my husband (Veritas on here) and myself... Not quite my usual voice, nor my husband's as he's putting on his "James" voice... But this should be familiar to anyone who's ever watched 'Pokemon'...

Starry and Veritas are Team Rocket!
