I just read the plot in Wikipedia and now I'm feeling so sick....
I'm definetely not watching the movie, I'm sure I'll end up throwing up. I know such things are not unusual irl, but I don't want to witness them. And I know worse things happen too. You don't have to see something to know it's actually happening, it's not like "if I don't see it, it's not happening" because I know it happens, but there is nothing we can do.
I've been trying hard to convince myself (and more important, to convince others) that there are good people in the world, that we don't have to be scared. This isn't helping...

This movie they're talking about sounds like something you would enjoy Hal.

Blanket on a roll (there's a removable stick sown in there). For epic efficient blanket distribution. My best invention ever, no doubt.
I'd like to think there are even more good than bad people. But we'll never know, because good actions are almost always unnoticed while bad actions usually appear in the news worldwide and sometimes they even make movies about it. Tragedies sell well.I like to think that for every one of them, there is one of us, capable of knowing how terrible their acts are. And vocally recognizing it as such. This way there's some kind of a balance. It's just a shame we don't have a positive act that radiates with the same intensity. I guess negativity is just stronger that way.
I guess that means we won't see you in a couple of daysFirst college party.
Oh boy.

Nahhhhh. I looked at the plot, it's just needless torture. Contrary to what you may think, I don't enjoy "torture porn" as it's called. Martyrs was not, in my opinion, of that genre. It's different. That's why, despite the horrific scenes in it, I enjoyed it. Torture scenes make me ill regardless.
It's actually not torture porn. They barely even show in detail what's going on, although it's pretty obvious. Martyrs is quite disturbing too, but also a good movie. Either way, torture scenes aren't my cup of tea either, as much of a gore w**** that I am.
I feel sometimes like there are levels of awareness/functioning as far as people are concerned and that it is extremely difficult to find other people that are like yourself in that way.
