Maybe I don't understand much but... men who play sports professionally or even coach are often so pumped full of testosterone and adrenaline that they lash out violently/competitively without thinking. It's just impulse.
You wouldn't be able to control yourself and be polite during a game if you played professionally, either. It takes a very laid back player to do that. haha

I mean... I've known enough hockey players to have seen it firsthand plenty of times. XD
I'm sure it's not just Canadians!

Oh, yeah~ curling was always so calming for me.
You can't get worked up playing or watching... it has the same effect as cleaning does for me and yet, throwing the rock is almost as stress relieving as hitting something with a bat (almost)
Calms me down... but cleaning is mostly just for my ocd and curling is fun because it looks so dumb! wee!

Hockey is just covert boxing XD

Football is supposed to be more "clean". But not Mourinho lol
I understand that they were losing an important match, so Marcelo made that hard tackle, but coaches are supposed to be better than that.
Final Supercopa de España 2011, entrada a Cesc y "tangana" - YouTube
Here you can see that Guardiola tries to calm down his players and technical stuff while Mourinho tries to kick Cesc (when he was still on the ground) and then he push his finger into Tito Vilanova's eye (Barcelona' assistand manager). After that, he disparaged Barcelona's game and he pretended not to know Vilanova and made fun of him calling him Pito Vilanova (I don't know in English, but here it means something not very nice).

Anyway I used to play football, before a bad injury on my back, and I never saw anyone acting like that. But obviously I never played a Barça-Madrid :D

^Ugh, sorry about that... I guess Mourinho remind me of a bully

I don't know whether to go on anti-depressants or not. I probably should. But I don't want to deal with the side-effects. And it's not severe. Decisions, decisions.
