Webmaster just "MASSACRED" the look of the site. It's LOOKS WORSE than a dog's breakfast or doo-doo. It's like the fonts are made so big, so that the really elderly can read it. JUST BECAUSE every other tom, **** & harry webmaster is doing similar changes to their sites, to "keep up with the joneses", it doesn't mean YOU sir webmaster HAVE to follow their awful lead!!!. It's like it's FORCED upon us - HERE, TAKE IT OR LEAVE (IT)!!! :thumbdown:

Well, i take some of that back, as i found (partly thanks to Graeme) on my user profile page an item called "Options", and scrolled right down to the bottom, & selected "old style". But webmaster COULD easily have put a post telling us how to revert back to the old style.
There ARE however one or two things which are slightly better, but the overall look is TERRIBLE. I don't know how anyone would want to put up with a style like that - it looks like it's done by a 5 year old!.

I liked the simple site. I may just use it instead of this old one. I like the bigger text too haha but I do have bad eye sight so the brightness and bigger text is nice. I wonder why the new site was the one that we had to see first instead of them "letting you preview" a new one? Maybe we will all have better security now with a new website? Will wonders ever cease? lol

Yes, wonders did cease. Immediately after I wrote that, I went to find the new simple site and the button was gone. Perfect!

So weird I was thinking about the "You are not Alone" subtitle a few days ago, before it went missing that is and I thought it should be more like"misery loves company" because I am so miserable when I post here

I was freaking out when I first came in! Luckily I came in this thread first, read your post and was able to change it back to the old way, straight away.

I have some alarms on my mobile phone to remind me of tv programs about to start soon, but they have finished, but i still leave the alarms there cause i like the feeling that somebody might be phoning me (which very very seldom happens). How sad is that? lol

That button to change between old or new layout style should be at the very bottom of each thread. It seems to only appear if you are logged out though.

I liked that 'You are not alone'. It's comforting and there's supposed to be the word 'username' for the other rectangular box at the top and there's no more of the connected sites that show social phobia Italy and Spain! :sad: There's also no more of the thanks or anything.

Yes, it's FAR from "homely". It's like a completely new, garish/amateur site.
It's like comparing TXTing (with all the shortcuts eg omg, fml, tmi) with writing an email, or speaking on the phone. I especially don't like the "SPW" - it's like a TXTing shortcut! I have used "spw" on occasion, but using it as a logo is taking it too far.

Well i'm afraid you've got only one option - to stay logged in. It's as simple as that. You can't have your cake & eat it too.
