My brother turns on the bath faucet when he goes to the restroom. He does this 2-3 times a day. I know he's not showering because sometimes, when I walk by his restroom, I see a flashlight flashing around under the door. Sometimes, I hear the bath faucet water running, but at the same time I also hear the toilet flushing!!! You can't be showering and on the toilet at the same time!
In the past, my brother was not like this. So, how did he get like this? We used to live together in an upstairs apartment in another city. The neighborhood was very tight-knit, which meant neighbors knew each other. The neighbors downstairs are very nosy, ever since the beginning when we first moved in. They listened to everything that we do and comment on it. For example, when I make a phone call, they talk about it. When I brush my teeth, turn on the water to wash my face, take a shower, etc, I could hear them talking about it. They never liked us from the first day we moved in, and we tried to stay away from them.
A woman and her daughter (or granddaughter) lived downstairs from us. The daughter was especially mean and vile, along with her immature guy friend. When they hear us going to the restroom taking a leak or doing something else, they would make noises and make fun of us, mocking us. I remember when I go to the restroom, they hear my footsteps and then when I got in, I hear them say, "Poop, she's pooping..." and I just froze. I tried to ignore them and just do what I have to do because I'm human and I'm not divine. These neighbors did the same thing to my brother; when they hear him going to the restroom, I could hear them say loudly things like "Ewww.. pooping..." Anyways, my brother didn't take it so well. He got angry and things turned for the worst between us and the neighbors.
It's like those neighbors have nothing else better to do but listen to our footsteps and try to hear what we do everytime we come home. It seems to me that the grandma/mother downstairs was unemployed and stayed home almost all the time while the daughter/granddaughter goes to school. Gosh, I wish I could tell them to get a life! Hey, I'm unemployed too, but I keep myself busy with learning and doing other stuff at the library.
We moved out 6 months later (Thank God! One of the happiest days of my life!). After that horrid experience, my brother was not the same. Now, he turns on the shower (or the ventilator or the boombox) everytime he goes to the restroom. I know he couldn't be showering so many times a day, but I think he does this because he didn't want the neighbors to hear his bathroom noises. And, this is wasting water; I told him to not do this but he still does it.
I hate D****s! I wished we had never moved to that horrid city. We lived there for several years before moving back here. Horrible experience. I feel like giving it one big mid*** finger. I'm sorry if I offended anyone here living in that area, but I just need to let my emotions out.
