Strapping Young Lad and Fear Factory, two of my favorite heavy metal bands. There's just something about the energy and adrenaline that seems to burn away all the depression and get me motivated again.

Most the suggested music is just awful. If you feel ****ty, you should listen to anything by Elliott Smith, The Antlers, or Radiohead. I personally suggest the following:

Metal's kept me going the last few years. It gives me a boost of confidence when I'm listening to it, especially bands like Maiden, Edguy, Sabaton, Nocturnal Rites, Dark Moor etc
