If I bought the Arcade, can it be upgraded later with more disk space, or can I use some sort of external memory/storage?

All the more expensive Xbox's have over the cheaper ones is a bigger hard disk drive, which you can buy and install at a later date or separately.

It kind of already is external in that it just slots onto the side (the hdd) but I think it has to be a Microsoft one.

So I would personally go for the cheaper Xbox,I play most of my games online and from the disk and I have no problems.Installing a game is nice in that sometimes it does improve the load speeds (not by that much though) and you have a copy of the game in case the cd every gets damaged.

Cool! thanks for the info!

No worries, happy to help!I wouldn't recommend buying second hand btw,I know that's not something you asked about but I forgot to mention something.

In there rush to get the 360 out before the ps3,they rushed it out.So about a year down the line a lot of Xbox's had a fault called the dreaded "red ring of death".Basically they hadn't fitted enough internal cooling, and the solder inside would actually melt then cause complete failures.

They seem to have been fixed now,but don't be tempted by a second hand one!

Wow! You got quite a collection. I used to play nothing but PS2 games many years ago, but I ran out of money ::p:

Later on I tried a few online games. Age of Conan had amazing graphics, but the community was just awful. I tried EverQuest2 as well, probably the one I played the longest, but I had to quit, because I couldn't afford it anymore.

Right now I'm playing Runes of Magic from time to time. It's totally free, which is awesome. They're adding a new pet system. Can't wait to have my own pet.

:D

Heck Yes Katie....Katamari Damacy is awesome fun. I have that...just good old rolling around collecting stuff and getting bigger in a snowball effect....Vey Cool Game. I have like 250 PS2 games....it's crazy. Yeah Duck Hunt was awesome too. I still have like 3 copies of that. Can't play it though cause you need an old school tube TV for the Zapper to work. Also yeah...the Dreamcast is my favorite system of all time...favs are Jet Grind Radio, Sonic Adventure, Ikaruga, Shenmue, and Skies of Arcadia.

Yeah It's all hooked up man...I have like two 4 input switcher boxes running for AV systems and other inputs for my TV for newer systems to run in HD. I keep em all hooked up cause I play them all. That's awesome you have the Jaguar and Jaguar CD. I never had them. I've heard the Jag CD does not work for lots of people...does yours still work good?

I actually just pulled the Jaguar out of the closet and hooked it up. Do these old systems just not work on HD LCD tvs? The picture just stays frozen on the Jaguar load up screen but the audio works just fine, I can hear the game running through the speakers. I don't have an old tube tv to test this out on sadly.

The Jag should work on any TV. If it's not then your AV cable for it may be bad if you are only getting audio. You may want to open the system up and clean it if it's dusty and dirty inside and clean the cartridge games as well with a q-tip and windex. I've only heard of people having problems with the JAG CD because the lenses won't read the games. If it's not working you can dip a q-tip in some windex and lightly swab the eye in a circular motion.

One of these days I'll have to set aside some time to pull these old systems out and try to clean them up to get them into working order again. I already put the Jaguar back in the closet and it's a bit of a pain in the ass to get in and out of there. My room is small and my bed is right in front of the closet so I have to move things around and such.

So many great games on E3 Fallout:new vegas, gears of war 3, dead space 2, crysis 2, medal of honor, cod:black ops, ghost recon:future soldier etc. The problem is most of them are shooters, i was hoping for more variety like action adventure or rpg stuff. I just feel like there's too much of these shooting games.

3 words. Rock Band 3. YES!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to bust out the tunes with a real freakin guitar drums and keyboard. I'm gonna tear it up! Anyone want to join my band?
