It's good if you find the threads that actually give you advice, but I don't think reading about other's problem will help, even if it is the same.
By the way I'm back after a year long break, I started to miss it 🙂

I go through phases with this site. Sometimes I come here alot, sometimes not so much, and other times I take a break completely. It's good to have a sense that I'm not alone and to get some advice from other people, but in the end it is just a website and I feel like sometimes I just need to be doing something more productive.

I've only just joined so I can't really comment on this site yet, but I used to go onto other ones. Can't say that it really helps you as such but it's a good place to vent when you can't tell anyone about your problems. Also on websites like this you can be yourself more freely too.
#24
well, althought it can be a bit depressing sometimes, its good to vent and you can meet people that wont think you're weird because you stopped typing on the messenger or in the chatbox.
#25
it gives me something to do and keep my mind off my depression/pain.
#26
It makes me worse, honestly.
#27
it makes me think about my problems rather than just feeling them

I feel better. I've made a lot of progress personally and it feels good to know that it's possible, that I can share my experience and what has helped me and also I can get to learn more from others.
#29
I always come on here when I need a lift.
And also when I don't to help people who may need one.
#30
It helps me alot i've gotten to know some wonderful people on here, and when i come across random/funny posts they always cheer me up. 🙂
#31
I like the funny upbeat posts, they make me smile.
But i also like to help out people when i can.
#32
Yes, I can relate to most of the people on this site. Out there in the real world it is hard to find such honosty and openness
#33
indifferent, i just come and go as i please

nothing really keeps me here but nothing ever promotes me from leaving
#34
No this site make me angry... I try to stay optimistic, but it usually doesn't work..

Me too, online has always felt just like real life. I dread logging into my accounts, fearing negative judgements etc. I try to stay active because if i give up, then my social anxiety has beaten me....?

This site for the time I have used it does help a lot, its good to know there are people you can share your experiences with!

I recently joined this site and I feel like it can help me. I always thought I was alone and am really surprised at the amount of people who share similar experiences. But I hope that it will help me in the future, not just the same old 'short term fix.'
#38
yep. hope this site will live forever. I love that people have the courage to share their experiences

My visits to this site are about the most productive things I have done in the last 8 months... I love this site, and yea it makes me feel a ton better and most days quite a bit less lonely...

I'm new to the site, but yes I do find it helps.

The world seems like such a harsh place sometimes, its good to have a group of caring people to chat with. Its refreshing.
