Yes. I can never be completely happy. Every time I stop obsessing about something another thought just takes its place and the cycle just repeats. This has been going on for about a year now.

I guess that's mainly the biggest struggle with having Social Anxiety Disorder. We have an over-active mind. You could even call our thoughts ANT's. Automatic negative thoughts, it's hard to describe where the fear is coming from, nobody ever could answer me that question straight to the point who has SAD, of course he can tell me he's afraid of people, or afraid of rejection or is too self concious, that is the best answer... But still we have SO MANY THOUGHTS during our SAD feelings, that we should know how to prevent them.

I think, yup think ::p: We think WAY too much..

We need a stop button please!!!!! ::eek::

I don't mind thinking too much, but I do mind knowing what I think is nonsense.

And that makes me shudder of the idea of going insane and knowing that I am insane.

I really have to look into the meditation thing. (One day)

Meditation isn't that hard. Just sit down on your bed, hold your hands together and be quiet for 3 minutes. It's also a form of meditation, because meditation stands for inner peace, and you will only get it, when you push your own mind to focus on NOTHING.. Or good thoughts repeating.. But I think being quiet is better so you can be more aware of the moment.. Three minutes isn't a big deal, is it? Try it out my friend. Being mind-full and calm is the most wonderful feeling in the world.

Yeah, definitely. I don't think my brain ever stops. I sometimes wish I had an "off" switch.

Love that last answer for the poll too. ::p:

Same here. It's hard for me to concentrate on one solid thought at a time, like having the television and radio on at the same time while trying to read a magazine.

Yes, I overthink a lot of things and generally try to work out the results or consequences from actions that I haven't taken yet. Having a stop button, like Falkor has mentioned, would be fantastic indeed.

I think way too much sometimes and wished I had an 'Off' switch for it. Over thinking everything can be tiring.

I have to agree with Falkor; having a stop button would be very convenient. I find it extremely hard to concentrate on more than one thing. It's frustrating.

Yes I probably do. I let things get under my skin too easily. But I like being this way... like you said in your poll options, thats what having a brain is for. I dont particualrly admire people who are overly carefree and ignore everything around them just for the sake of being 'OK' with everything.
Igorance is bliss - is not how I do things.

Yes, but i'm working hard not to do it. I’m still working on being relaxed as I walk down the street. I just tell myself that I don't need this SA and replace it with relaxation and sometimes it goes away and I am left with a serine feeling that really is quite wonderful. Meditation works; give it a go.
