I would say try the nicotiene inhaltors, I have found them very helpful. Since quitting my skin is clearer, my tongue looks healthier and I don't have that likkle cough anymore, Hurrah!

Smokin' and Chokin'

Hardly ever, but I happened to do it yesterday. Now my spit is all brown and reallly gross tasting. The weird part is, this has never happened before. I can't get rid of it!! It's so supremely gross. I tried brushing my teeth, and using mouth wash, and all that, and it's still there. Blehhh. I'm not sure where it came from but, I am totally blaming Mr. Cigarette, and I don't plan on ever having one again!

That happens to me... if I have just one I wake up with a horrible taste in my mouth and a headache.

I used to go through 20 or 30 in a night out, and then when I woke up have another and it was fine. After I quit it was fine, but then I started hating the aftertaste.

Maybe they changed the recipe?

If anyone's trying to quit, cold turkey is the only way to go; patches and the like just prolong the withdrawal symptoms and distract you from countering the psychological factors (e.g, 'triggers')

I smoke a pack a day, I feel it really helps ease the social anxiety
It doesn't really. That is an illusion.

haha...man i would love to smoke
Why?

right now im on the verge of insanity...and i would love to huff and puff
Well obviously you are on the verge of insanity if you want to smoke! From someone who has quit after smoking for over 20 years...don't!

Good. I hope you never do.

2 weeks now.
Well done! :D

Its true that anything with nicotine prolongs the addiction as that is the primary reason for smoking in the first place. Some people have managed to quit using them all the same. However there is an easier way to do it than willpower - known as EASYWAY by the late Allen Carr.

Allen Carr Worldwide
Allen Carr's Easyway to Stop Smoking method has helped millions of smokers escape from nicotine addiction and find freedom from cigarettes. We have smoking cessation clinics in most major towns & cities of the UK. on AllenCarr website

I've never smoked a cigarette in my life, the smell of them actually makes me nauseous. On a dare one time at the movies with a guy, he had the tobacco pouches that you just put in your lip and told me that if I could make it through the whole movie with it in he'd give me five bucks. I couldn't even make it halfway through, I got so sick from it, lol. Lesson certainly learned, tobacco and I don't mix.

I have never smoked. I have fortunately always found the smell of the smoke digusting. I sympathize with those who have trouble giving up, my mother has not smoked for 30 years and she still craves one after dinner.

I *tried* to get into smoking one time, I smoked a couple packs over the course of a week...I just couldn't get into it. It tastes awful, smells awful, hurts your lungs and sort of made me feel nauseous every time I smoked. It's weird, because I don't feel like that when I smoke Marijuana. Tobacco is just gross.
