awww, i miss Chat Box...even though i'm new, i'm telling u it's nice to socialize w/ other non-socially social people...

Maybe it's an SA issue? They are too scared to use it and feel like they failed somehow? I'm sure some people with severe SA cannot bring themselves to even post but I do hope that maybe some of our ramblings may help them in some way when they read them.

I accept like 5-10 new members a day, I hope they do not feel posting or using chatbox is compulsary, it is not :cool:

I thought the chatbox was a good idea only problem I had was it didnt make an alert sound like msn. im always browsing other things and forget to look at the box again to see if anyones replied lol

lol yea. if not everybody should meet up on msn or something. (i cant use skype in this country). But lets hope the web master has mercy on us. lol

Im going to say goodbye guys. I haven posted in ages and now the chatbox has gone I dont feel much point in coming here. Socialising with you all in chat was great and I will miss you all. Ive met some very special people here...espcially 2crowded. Time for a new era for me now though.

If (or when) chat comes back avoid posting pics in there, it takes up alot of bandwidth.

It's back up and hopefully staying up.

The webmaster commented in chatbox:

the refresh time has been decreased and we will see now if the server can work or still gets overloaded, archive will deleted automatically because isn't an interesting thing in a chat
yes slower and can be more slower in the future depending of the server performance

not 100% sure what he means but I gather the chatbox refreshes when someone types a message instead of automatically. I think he plans to delete the archive weekly too.

Only the webmaster has tech authorisation on the boards, so any maintenance or closing down of chat is down to him, he hopefully will inform us all when this will take place.

To the eight people who voted "no", please don't feel excluded, I don't use chat either unless it's kind of official. As for the forums, even if you post once, what you have to say is as important as someone who posted 1000 times :)
