are you offended by profanity?

**** no. Unless the profanity is directed at said person, I don't get why it should offend them. I once sat at a cafe here in Lebanon and this American lady overheard my friends and I talking and she said "my God, do you hear yourselves? do you need to swear that much?" It wasn't that much :p Needless to say we were too shocked to respond, never had anyone eavesdropped on our conversation and then pointed it out as if it were their business. We weren't that loud and it had nothing to do with her. What do you guys think, did she have the right to comment?

It bothers me that television has to censor words like this.

In some cases I find the censor bleeps a lot more offensive because it feels like I'm being treated like a child. I'd rather just hear the words, if anything it makes what you're watching more realistic and immersive.

Personally I'm not really bothered by it yet I don't like swear-words being overused - I think it sounds stupid. I also don't like it when people swear around children.

No, I love profanity. I curse quite a lot. It helps some times. I don't mind that people don't like it but that's them. There's nothing wrong with it. And I know settings to use them in and when to keep my bleeping mouth censored.

I've been known to drop a F-bomb every so often, so no, it really does not bother me. Unless it is aimed at me or a family member in a mean or aggressive way.

I don't mind it at all, I don't even notice it now. It's around me all the time in the music I listen to, movie's I watch etc, I just personally don't swear. (I say S**t sometime's, but that's always in a comical way. Don't think I've ever said "The F word".)

Profanity makes me laugh. Especially when the profanity is uttered by someone in the context of anger/frustration. I assume it to be a nervous reaction on my part.

^ This for me too. I'm not always bothered by swearing either, unless it's overused a bunch of times sentence after sentence. I'm actually pretty bad with swearing when I'm pissed, and that really sucks because I never used to swear that much until the last year or so. I actually feel bad doing it sometimes. I definitely try not to swear at all in public or around strangers, and I especially don't swear around kids. I absolutely do not like it when parents do it either. An occasional slip-up is understanding, but constant swearing around kids I don't like. I've known so many parents that do it and it just bothers me.
