The positive thread

Wow, we just finished summer break here. I didn't know it was different in places. Have fun visiting your cousin :) sounds like you two are really close!

Haha summer actually starts around December here! It's funny sometimes because Christmas is in mid-summer... weird when I think about it. lol. The academic year also begins in jan/feb instead of ?sept?

And thankyou! But, cousin?! There's 3 of them.. ugh 3 pesky little lskjdfkldjfs. haha still love them to bits though ::p:

I finally thought of a positive thing to put in this thread!lol::p:
I can eat out in a restaurant with managable discomfort whereas I never used to be able to do that without the stress making me sick.:)

Fast food or order-and-wait-in-silence-by-yourself type restaurant?
No matter how confident I feel, i can never to a diner and eat by myself...ever.

Random: I like Boston Pizza.

I meant at either one, but with family or friends (when I used to have one!)
I have never gone to any eating out place by myself. I have no need to eat out by myself, as I prefer to prepare my own food.:)

The most amazing person has entered my life recently and I'm so deeply grateful for every second of her company.

Here's a hint just hold shift and press the equal key. + That's something positive.

That was worth a very much appreciated piece of laughter, thank you! :)

My positive thing for today is that my boss told me to take whatever hours I need to get my work done. It's a lot of work and a lot of stress, but at least I can do it at my own pace, which is how I work most efficiently. I'm even getting to work from home, which could possibly be slightly counter-productive with SA, but is certainly a lot easier.

Anyway, more hours -> more money -> then maybe I'll have enough steady funds and will just need to build up the courage to move out on my own.

I went on a daytrip with my classmates from the academy. Had little and not so little conversations here and there, joked around a bit and I'm determined to overcome this little problem I have!

Today, I had the courage to walk away from a verbal spat instead of allowing myself to be chipped away at and then trying to "suck up" to appease the other person.

I refused to keep playing the same old "game".

I don't think anyone could've been through what I've been through and stayed grounded, I haven't skipped class or cut myself or anything :D

I spent a day surveying a national park. We accessed the park using a motor boat. We visited some beautiful littoral rainforest, beach dunes, mangrove forest and swamp forests. For a while I forgot all my troubles.

^ jealous, that sounds lovely.

As for positive, one can never run out of things to do, and can never be doing nothing. (Do nothing has been created by society) Grateful for that, to whom I don't know...

I have the ability to appreciate an opposing point of view, even If I don't agree with it. I did this in a mock trial where we had to argue from both points of view. Most of the participants weren't able to do this. Being able to see things from another person's point of view is an ability I've had since childhood. In the past I've used this ability to defuse a number of disputes between Individuals that could've easily and quickly ended with tragic results. In most cases I knew at least one of the individuals involved, I don't know if the outcome would've been the same if didn't.

I want ''Pizza is awesome... Oh, and uhm, eh, rest in peace bla bla bla'' quoted on my tomb stone. Yeah, that would be great. Get some smiles/laughs on the cemetery after I'm gone. :3

That won't happen for a long time, of course. ^W^
