^ Wow!! If there's something that tells us, that we don't come across as horribly, or anxiously, as we think we do, it's that! Good job! :) Put a smile on my face to hear

This is why I thought I'd share this with you all. Thing is, they could actually tell that I was nervous. One of the men commented on my nervousness being normal. If he only knew! ::p: I think this shows that most people are a lot more understanding than we sometimes expect them to be. :)
Recently, someone told me that interviewers expect their applicants to be nervous and that it's a desirable trait as it shows that one cares.

I'm happy to know that this story put a smile on your face and hopefully it gave you some relief. I think we've all had extreme anxiety at one point or another. If I can do this then so can everyone else on this site! I may have won this battle, but I know that there will be plenty more. I will win some and I will lose others. What's important is that I fight. ;) I think the same applies to us all.

I've been interviewed by a panel before, more than once. Gah! Good for you! I tend to alternate between blushing and turning deathly pale (several times in the same interview) and forgetting how to put words or thoughts together.

I'm glad they liked you! Hope you like the job.

one panel interview I thought I totally bombed, then I discovered afterward that my pants had been unzipped the entire time

they called me the next day to say I was their top choice

you just never know

I was told that I turned pale during another interview earlier this year. I was more than qualified for the job, and I believe that the interviewer made his decision based on the fact that I was visibly nervous among other things....

Thanks! :)

I figured that they would call me back to tell me that I had not been selected and just left it at that. Earlier this morning, I get a call informing me that they actually liked me! That and they want to pay me more!? (I will inquire about that.) They want me to go see them tomorrow morning!

Well done!

I went shopping today. It was very busy at the store, I started to have a panic attack. I wanted to turn around and leave but I went in.

It took 2 minutes to get what I needed then I had to wait in line for 15 minutes! I wanted to just drop what I had and leave but I stayed.

I even talked to someone while I waited in line.

Well done. That .... really good. Think you could do it again? I think you could. I am purposefully putting myself in tense places.

I am fairly certain will be heading to the bar with a a very good friend. On crutches. This kind of kills my no drinking, exception will be made. I have to drive so I can't do much.

"Ah,that guy's on crutches!" Should be really tense being centre of attention.

I see negative posts everywhere so i thought i would make a thread for some positive things!

Please post something positive about yourself! NO NEGATIVE POSTS AT ALL PLEASE.... If you can only think of negative things then don't post until you find a positive thing! Thanks! Feel free to post more then one thing to!

I think I'm a good writer, I get good grades in college, I know that there is a better future out there somewhere. I'm also happy that I have food, water, and shelter. :D

...though perhaps you are not aware that a few words, enigmatically said, cause the listener's mind to forge its own wisdom.

Was I aware? No. How certain are you of the listener forging their own? Could possibly leave own forged wisdom inaccurately correct or straight incorrect. Would we not want to be correct?

Uncertain how clear my own wisdom is. However, I do thank you, phocas. You have brought much thought.
